We use a modified Bochner technique to derive an inequality relating the nodal set of eigenspinors to eigenvalues of the Dirac operator on closed surfaces. In addition, we apply this technique to solutions of similar spinorial equations.

New proof finds three divergence-free vector fields for any 3D manifold.
Let be a closed connected spin manifold of dimension or with a fixed orientation and a fixed spin structure. We prove that for a generic Riemannian metric on the non-harmonic eigenspinors of the Dirac operator are nowhere zero. The proof is based on a transversality theorem and the unique continuation p…
We show that harmonic spinors obey a strengthened version of the well-known pointwise Kato inequality for sections of a vector bundle with a connection. We then prove a decay estimate for eigenspinors using this Kato-Yau estimate and resulting differential inequality. We briefly describe some applications to gauge theo…
We consider a Riemannian spin manifold (M,g) with a fixed spin structure. The zero sets of solutions of generalized Dirac equations on M play an important role in some questions arising in conformal spin geometry and in mathematical physics. In this setting the mass endomorphism has been defined as the constant term in…
We describe both the Hodge - de Rham and the spin manifold Dirac operator on the spheres and , following the formalism introduced by Kähler, and exhibit a complete spectral resolution for them in terms of suitably globally defined eigenspinors.
A closed spin Kähler manifold of positive scalar curvature with smallest possible first eigenvalue of the Dirac operator is characterized by holomorphic spinors. It is shown that on any spin Kähler-Einstein manifold each holomorphic spinor is a finite sum of eigenspinors of the square of the Dirac operator. Vanishing t…
We give a new upper bound for the smallest eigenvalues of the Dirac operator on a Riemannian flow carrying transversal Killing spinors. We derive an estimate on Sasakian and on 3-dimensional manifolds and partially classify those satisfying the limiting case. Finally, we compare our estimate with a lower bound in terms…
We show that the Dirac operator on a spin manifold does not admit eigenspinors provided the metric has a certain asymptotic behaviour and is a warped product near infinity. These conditions on the metric are fulfilled in particular if the manifold is complete and carries a non-complete vector field which outside …
We construct exact solutions of the Einstein-Dirac equation, which couples the gravitational field with an eigenspinor of the Dirac operator via the energy-momentum tensor. For this purpose we introduce a new field equation generalizing the notion of Killing spinors. The solutions of this spinorial field equation are c…
We study twistor spinors (with torsion) on Riemannian spin manifolds carrying metric connections with totally skew-symmetric torsion. We consider the characteristic connection and under the condition , we show that the twistor equation with torsion w.r…
