Algorithm determines spatial graph isomorphism with vertex, edge colorings and orientations.
A central result here is the computation of the entire cyclic homology of canonical smooth subalgebras of stable continuous trace C*-algebras having smooth manifolds M as their spectrum. More precisely, the entire cyclic homology is shown to be canonically isomorphic to the continuous periodic cyclic homology for these…
In this paper, we undertake the study of the Tannaka duality construction for the ordinary representations of a proper Lie groupoid on vector bundles. We show that for each proper Lie groupoid G, the canonical homomorphism of G into the reconstructed groupoid T(G) is surjective, although, contrary to what happens in th…
Study cone structures on contact manifolds to understand their geometric properties.
Using basic homotopy constructions, we show that isomorphism classes of string structures on spin bundles are naturally given by certain degree 3 cohomology classes, which we call string classes, on the total space of the bundle. Using a Hodge isomorphism, we then show that the harmonic representative of a string class…
We compare the sheaf-theoretic and singular chain versions of Poincare duality for intersection homology, showing that they are isomorphic via naturally defined maps. Similarly, we demonstrate the existence of canonical isomorphisms between the singular intersection cohomology cup product, the hypercohomology product i…
Uniformizes varieties with log-canonical singularities using ball quotients.
The study of the Vassiliev invariants of Legendrian knots was started by D. Fuchs and S. Tabachnikov who showed that the groups of complex-valued Vassiliev invariants of Legendrian and of framed knots in the standard contact are canonically isomorphic. Recently we constructed the first examples where Vassiliev in…
It is proved that on nilmanifolds with abelian complex structure, there exists a canonically constructed non-trivial holomorphic Poisson structure. We identify the necessary and sufficient condition for its associated cohomology to be isomorphic to the cohomology associated to trivial (zero) holomorphic Poisson structu…
We introduce a bicomplex which computes the triple cohomology of Lie--Rinehart algebras. We prove that the triple cohomology is isomorphic to the Rinehart cohomology \cite{Ri} provided the Lie--Rinehart algebra is projective over the corresponding commutative algebra. As an application we construct a canonical class in…
Let be a foliated manifold. We prove that there is a canonical isomorphism between the complex of base-like forms of the foliation and the "De Rham complex" of the space of leaves when considered as a "diffeological" quotient. Consequently, the two corresponding …
We refine Matveev's result asserting that any two closed oriented 3-manifolds can be related by a sequence of borromean surgeries if and only if they have isomorphic first homology groups and linking pairings. Indeed, a borromean surgery induces a canonical isomorphism between the first homology groups of the involved …
Uniformizes compact Sasakian manifolds into circle bundles.
A VB-groupoid is a Lie groupoid equipped with a compatible linear structure. In this paper, we describe a correspondence, up to isomorphism, between VB-groupoids and 2-term representations up to homotopy of Lie groupoids. Under this correspondence, the tangent bundle of a Lie groupoid G corresponds to the "adjoint repr…
We solve Dehn's isomorphism problem for virtually torsion-free relatively hyperbolic groups with nilpotent parabolic subgroups. We do so by reducing the isomorphism problem to three algorithmic problems in the parabolic subgroups, namely the isomorphism problem, separation of torsion (in their outer automorphism groups…
The moduli space of jets of certain G-structures (basically those which admit a canonical linear connection) is shown to be isomorphic to the quotient of a natural G-module by G.
We complete the construction of the double Lie algebroid of a double Lie groupoid begun in the first paper of this title. We show that the Lie algebroid structure of an LA--groupoid may be prolonged to the Lie algebroid of its Lie groupoid structure; in the case of a double groupoid this prolonged structure for either …
An affine Cartan calculus is developed. The concepts of special affine bundles and special affine duality are introduced. The canonical isomorphisms, fundamental for Lagrangian and Hamiltonian formulations of the dynamics in the affine setting are proved.
The paper generalizes Hodge theory to semisimple local systems and proves a geometric Decomposition theorem.
The paper explores metrics on Lie groups and their connections to dual quaternions.
We review the notion of relative Dolbeault cohomology and prove that it is canonically isomorphic with the local (relative) cohomology of A. Grothendieck and M. Sato with coefficients in the sheaf of holomorphic forms. We deal with this cohomology from two viewpoints. One is the Cech theoretical approach, which is conv…
This is the third of five papers that construct an isomorphism between the Seiberg-Witten Floer homology and the Heegaard Floer homology of a given compact, oriented 3-manifold. The isomorphism is given as a composition of three isomorphisms; the first of these relates a version of embedded contact homology on an an au…
We introduce the notions of Chern-Dirac bundles and Chern-Dirac operators on Hermitian manifolds. They are analogues of classical Dirac bundles and Dirac operators, with Levi-Civita connection replaced by Chern connection. We then show that the tensor product of canonical and the anticanonical spinor bundles, called V-…
Establishes a framework for stringor bundles, proving their canonical isomorphism to Stolz-Teichner's.
We give a precise formulation of T-duality for Ramond-Ramond fields. This gives a canonical isomorphism between the "geometrically invariant" subgroups of the twisted differential K-theory of certain principal torus bundles. Our result combines topological T-duality with the Buscher rules found in physics.
We prove that to every inclusion of Lie algebroids over the same base manifold corresponds a Kapranov dg-manifold structure on , which is canonical up to isomorphism. As a consequence, carries a canonical algebra structure whose una…
The space of m-ary differential operators acting on weighted densities is a (m+1)-parameter family of modules over the Lie algebra of vector fields. For almost all the parameters, we construct a canonical isomorphism between this space and the corresponding space of symbols as sl(2)-modules. This yields to the notion o…
This paper introduces - and -fold vector bundles as special functors from the - and -cube categories to the category of smooth manifolds. We study the cores and "n-pullbacks" of -fold vector bundles and we prove that any -fold vector bundle admits a non-canonical isomorphism to a decomposed …
We show that any -dimensional Fano manifold admitting Kähler-Einstein metrics satisfies that the anti-canonical volume is less than or equal to the value . Moreover, the equality holds if and only if is isomorphic to the -dimensional projective space.
Study Hochschild cohomology of dg manifolds linked to integrable distributions.
The paper constructs a canonical connection on bundles over Riemann surfaces and relates it to the theta divisor.
Given a holomorphic line bundle on a compact complex torus , there are two naturally associated holomorphic --torsors over : one is constructed from the Atiyah exact sequence for , and the other is constructed using the line bundle , where is the addition map on $A\times…
We determine the 6-dimensional solvmanifolds admitting an invariant complex structure with holomorphically trivial canonical bundle. Such complex structures are classified up to isomorphism, and the existence of strong Kähler with torsion (SKT), generalized Gauduchon, balanced and strongly Gauduchon metrics is studied.…
The most important examples of a double vector bundle are provided by iterated tangent and cotangent functors: TTM, TT^*M, T^*TM, and T^*T^*M. We introduce the notions of the dual double vector bundle and the dual double vector bundle morphism. Theorems on canonical isomorphisms are formulated and proved. Several examp…
The paper constructs discrete Hessian and divdiv complexes on triangulations and proves their cohomology isomorphic to continuous versions.
We show that the extended principal bundle of a Cartan geometry of type , endowed with its extended connection , is isomorphic to the principal -bundle of affine frames endowed with the affine connection as defined in classical Kobayashi-Nomizu volume I. Then …
We derive the quantum Teichmüller space, previously constructed by Kashaev and by Fock and Chekhov, from tensor products of a single canonical representation of the modular double of the quantum plane. We show that the quantum dilogarithm function appears naturally in the decomposition of the tensor square, the quantum…
Null Lagrangian-preserving surgeries are a generalization of the Garoufalidis and Rozansky null-moves, that these authors introduced to study the Kricker lift of the Kontsevich integral, in the setting of pairs (M,K) composed of a rational homology sphere M and a null-homologous knot K in M. They are defined as replace…
The existence of a flat torsion-free connection, or left symmetric algebra structure on a Lie algebra g gives rise to a canonically defined complex structure on g+g and a symplectic structure on g+g^*. We verify that the associated differential Gerstenhaber algebras controlling the deformation theories of the complex a…
Compute Dolbeault and Bott-Chern cohomologies of complex solvmanifolds.
In joint work with Yang Huang, we defined a canonical absolute grading on Heegaard Floer homology by homotopy classes of oriented 2-plane fields. A similar grading was defined on embedded contact homology by Michael Hutchings. In this paper we show that the isomorphism between these homology theories defined by Colin-G…
We show that for a large class of contact 3-manifolds the groups of Vassiliev invariants of Legendrian and of framed knots are canonically isomorphic. As a corollary, we obtain that the group of finite order Arnold's -type invariants of wave fronts on a surface is isomorphic to the group of Vassiliev invariant…
We establish the Thom isomorphism in twisted K-theory for any real vector bundle and develop the push-forward map in twisted K-theory for any differentiable proper map (not necessarily K-oriented). The push-forward map generalizes the push-forward map in ordinary K-theory for any -oriented differentiable…
We prove the existence and the uniqueness of a conformally equivariant symbol calculus and quantization on any conformally flat pseudo-Riemannian manifold $(M,\rg)$. In other words, we establish a canonical isomorphism between the spaces of polynomials on and of differential operators on tensor densities over $M…
Given a connected manifold with corners of any codimension there is a very basic and computable homology theory called conormal homology defined in terms of faces and orientations of their conormal bundles, and whose cycles correspond geometrically to corner's cycles. Our main theorem is that, for any manifold with cor…
In this paper, we establish a rigorous correspondence between the two tube algebras, that one comes from the Turaev-Viro-Ocneanu TQFT introduced by Ocneanu and another comes from the sector theory introduced by Izumi, and construct a canonical isomorphism between the centers of the two tube algebras, which is a conjuga…
We present the solution of a longstanding internal problem of noncommutative geometry, namely the computation of the index of a transversally elliptic operator on an arbitrary foliation. The new and crucial ingredient is a certain Hopf algebra associated to the transverse frame bundle. Its cyclic cohomology is defined …
