We introduce a new method of delta hedging. In many cases, this method results in a lower cost than the Black-Scholes method. To calculate the cost of hedging, we develop a Mathematica program that include the two-dimensional Newton-Raphson method.
In this study, after introducing algebraic properties of real quaternions some characterizations of quaternionic involute-evolute curves in Q are obtained. And some results and theorems for quaternionic w-curves are given. Lastly, we illustrate some examples and draw their figures with Mathematica Programme.
The 2-bridge knots are a family of knots with bridge number 2. In this paper, we compute the Kauffman polynomials of 2-bridge knots using the Kauffman skein theory and linear algebra techniques. Our calculation can be easily carried out using Mathematica, Maple, Mathcad, etc.
In this paper, we obtain the differential equations of the space-like loxodromes on the non-degenerate canal surfaces depending on the causal characters of these canal surfaces and their meridians in Minkowski 3-space. Also we give an example by using Mathematica computer programme.
This is a note of the author's lectures at "Advanced courses in Foliation" in the research program "Foliation", which was held at the Centre de Recerca Mathematica in the May of 2010. In this note, we discuss about the relationship between deformation of actions of Lie groups and the leafwise cohomology of the orbit fo…
Explains Kirby's work on 4-manifold trisections.
In this study, we try to semi-real quaternionic curves in the semi-Euclidean space E_2^4. Firstly, we introduce algebraic properties of semi-real quaternions. And then, we give some characterizations of semi-real quaternionic involute-evolute curves in the semi-Euclidean space E_2^4. Lastly, we illustrate some examples…
Beside simplices, -cubes form an important class of simple polyhedra. Unlike hyperbolic Coxeter simplices, hyperbolic Coxeter -cubes are not classified. We show that there is no hyperbolic Coxeter -cube for , and provide a full classification for . Our methods, which are essentially of combin…
Study on polyhedra rigidity, finding non-existence of flexible weakly convex decomposable polyhedra.
We describe an algorithm that recognizes some (perhaps all) intrinsically knotted (IK) graphs, and can help find knotless embeddings for graphs that are not IK. The algorithm, implemented as a Mathematica program, has already been used by Goldberg, Mattman, and Naimi [6] to greatly expand the list of known minor minima…
The lightlike geometry of codimension two spacelike submanifolds in Lorentz-Minkowski space has been developed in [Izumiya, S. and Romero Fuster, M. C. Selecta Mathematica (NS), 13 23--55 (2007)] which is a natural Lorentzian analogue of the classical Euclidean differential geometry of hypersurfaces. In this paper we i…
Among eight possible geometric structures on three-dimensional manifolds less studied from the differential geometric point of view are those modelled on the Heisenberg group . We consider the Heisenberg left-invariant metric and use some results on Levi-Civita connection and curvature tensor to present solutio…
The paper examines isometric timelike surfaces in 4D Minkowski space.
Generalizing Courant's nodal domain theorem, the "Extended Courant property" is the statement that a linear combination of the first eigenfunctions has at most nodal domains. In a previous paper (Documenta Mathematica, 2018, Vol. 23, pp. 1561--1585), we gave simple counterexamples to this property, including co…
The aim of the present article is to treat the Greek public debt issue strictly as a curve fitting problem. Thus, based on Eurostat data and using the Mathematica technical computing software, an exponential function that best fits the data is determined modelling how the Greek public debt expands with time. Exploring …
A homology stratification is a filtered space with local homology groups constant on strata. Despite being used by Goresky and MacPherson [Intersection homology theory: II, Inventiones Mathematicae, 71 (1983) 77-129] in their proof of topological invariance of intersection homology, homology stratifications do not appe…
New derivation of knot invariants from universal invariant.
We prove that if the minors of degree of a Sobolev map are smooth then the map is smooth, when are not both even. We use this result to derive a simple, self-contained proof of the famous Liouville theorem for conformal maps, under the weakest possible regularity assumptions, i…
In this paper we formalize a combinatorial object for describing link diagrams called a Planar Diagram Code. PD-codes are used by the KnotTheory Mathematica package developed by Bar-Natan, et al. We present the set of PD-codes as a stand alone object and discuss its relationship with link diagrams. We give an explicit …
Study gradient estimates for nonlinear parabolic equations on Riemannian manifolds.
For a positive definite fundamental tensor all known examples of Osserman algebraic curvature tensors have a typical structure. They can be produced from a metric tensor and a finite set of skew-symmetric matrices which fulfil Clifford commutation relations. We show by means of Young symmetrizers and a theorem of S. A.…
We consider the problem of the combinatorial computation of the first Chern class of a circle bundle. N.Mnev found such a formula in terms of canonical shellings. It represents certain invariant of a triangulation computed by analyzing cyclic word in 3-character alphabet associated to the bundle. This curvature is a ki…
In this paper we investigate the construction of state models for link invariants using representations of the braid group obtained from various gauge choices for a solution of the trigonometric Yang-Baxter equation. Our results show that it is possible to obtain invariants of regular isotopy (as defined by Kauffman) w…

The paper describes geometric properties of Teichmüller space metrics.
The colored Jones polynomial is a knot invariant that plays a central role in low dimensional topology. We give a simple and an efficient algorithm to compute the colored Jones polynomial of any knot. Our algorithm utilizes the walks along a braid model of the colored Jones polynomial that was refined by Armond from th…
A sequence is -holonomic if it satisfies a nontrivial linear recurrence with coefficients polynomials in and . Our main theorems state that -holonomicity is preserved under twisting, i.e., replacing by where is a complex root of unity, and under the substitution where $α…
New knot invariants derived using quantum cluster algebras.
In this paper, we introduce an inclined curves according to parallel transport frame. Also, we define a vector field called Darboux vector field of an inclined curve in and we give a new characterization such as: "α: I \subset R \rightarrow E^4 is an inclined curve \Leftrightarrow k_1 \int k_1ds + k_2 \int \k_2 +k_3ds …
We consider a defaultable asset whose risk-neutral pricing dynamics are described by an exponential Levy-type martingale subject to default. This class of models allows for local volatility, local default intensity, and a locally dependent Levy measure. Generalizing and extending the novel adjoint expansion technique o…
We find d - 2 relative differential invariants for a d-web, d \geq 4, on a two-dimensional manifold and prove that their vanishing is necessary and sufficient for a d-web to be linearizable. If one writes the above invariants in terms of web functions f (x,y) and g_4 (x,y),...,g_d (x,y), then necessary and sufficient c…
The aim of the present article is to offer a strictly mathematical, statistical treatment of the current account balances in EU and in the Eurozone. Based on Eurostat data, an overview of the total and annual balances is first made for different collections among the EU countries. Then, using the Mathematica technical …
Researchers create spectral triples for twisted crossed products using Kasparov's external product.
Symmetry properties of r-times covariant tensors T can be described by certain linear subspaces W of the group ring K[S_r] of a symmetric group S_r. If for a class of tensors T such a W is known, the elements of the orthogonal subspace W^{\bot} of W within the dual space of K[S_r] yield linear identities needed for a t…
OGRePy simplifies tensor calculations in general relativity.
We extend Bar-Natan's cobordism based categorification of the Jones polynomial to virtual links. Our topological complex allows a direct extension of the classical Khovanov complex (), the variant of Lee () and other classical link homologies. We show that our construction allows, over rings of characte…
The paper generalizes convex and star-shaped concepts to symplectic spaces and studies variational problems.
Computing polynomial invariants for knots and links using braid representations relies heavily on finding the trace of Hecke algebra elements. There is no easy method known for computing the trace and hence it becomes difficult to compute the known polynomial invariants of knots using their braid representations. In th…

In an earlier paper [Acta Mathematica, v. 176, 1996, 145-169, alg-geom/9505024 ] the present authors and Dennis Sullivan constructed the universal direct system of the classical Teichmüller spaces of Riemann surfaces of varying genus. The direct limit, which we called the universal commensurability Teichmüller space, $…
Machine learning improves Buchberger's algorithm for polynomial systems.
We first propose a conformal geometry for Connes-Landi noncommutative manifolds and study the associated scalar curvature. The new scalar curvature contains its Riemannian counterpart as the commutative limit. Similar to the results on noncommutative two tori, the quantum part of the curvature consists of actions of th…
