In this paper, we first prove a local family version of the Atiyah-Bott-Segal-Singer Lefschetz fixed point formula, then we extend the famous Witten's rigidity Theorems to the family case. Several family vanishing theorems for elliptic genera are also proved.

Paper proves index theorem for self-adjoint elliptic boundary problems.
Using an approach based on the heat kernel we prove an Atiyah-Bott-Lefschetz theorem for the Lefschetz numbers associated to an elliptic complex of cone differential operators over a compact manifold with conical singularities. We then apply our results to the case of the de Rham complex.
We give two generalizations of the Atiyah-Bott-Berline-Vergne localization theorem for the equivariant cohomology of a torus action: 1) replacing the torus action by a compact connected Lie group action, 2) replacing the manifold having a torus action by an equivariant map. This provides a systematic method for calcula…

The paper proves rigidity of certain Dirac operators using theta functions.
The paper derives a formula for Lefschetz number of a geometric endomorphism.
We prove a localization formula for group-valued equivariant de Rham cohomology of a compact G-manifold. This formula is a non-trivial generalization of the localization formula of Berline-Vergne and Atiyah-Bott for the usual equivariant de Rham cohomology. As an application, we obtain a version of the Duistermaat-Heck…
We prove an Atiyah-Bott-Berline-Vergne type localization formula for Killing foliations in the context of equivariant basic cohomology. As an application, we localize some Chern-Simons type invariants, for example the volume of Sasakian manifolds and secondary characteristic classes of Riemannian foliations, to the uni…
We sketch a geometric proof of the classical theorem of Atiyah, Bott, and Shapiro \cite{ABS} which relates Clifford modules to vector bundles over spheres. Every module of the Clifford algebra defines a particular vector bundle over , a generalized Hopf bundle, and the theorem asserts that this correspo…
We prove an analogue of the Atiyah-Bott-Berline-Vergne localization formula in the setting of equivariant basic cohomology of -contact manifolds. As a consequence, we deduce analogues of Witten's nonabelian localization and the Jeffrey-Kirwan residue formula, which relate equivariant basic integrals on a contact man…
Constructs a model for differential KO-theory using Clifford modules.
Inspired by Katz-Mazur theorem on crystalline cohomology and by Eskin-Kontsevich-Zorich's numerical experiments, we conjecture that the polygon of Lyapunov spectrum lies above (or on) the Harder-Narasimhan polygon of the Hodge bundle over any Teichmüller curve. We also discuss the connections between the two polygons a…
We define the category of manifolds with extended tangent bundles, we study their symmetries and we consider the analogue of equivariant cohomology for actions of Lie groups in this category. We show that when the action preserves the splitting of the extended tangent bundle, our definition of extended equivariant coho…
For a smooth family F of admissible elliptic pseudodifferential operators with differential form coefficients associated to a geometric fibration of manifolds M--> B we show that there is a natural zeta-form z(F,s) and zeta-determinant- form det(F) in the de-Rham algebra of smooth differential forms, generalizing the c…
The purpose of this paper is to give a self-contained exposition of the Atiyah-Bott picture for the Yang-Mills equation over Riemann surfaces with an emphasis on the analogy to finite dimensional geometric invariant theory. The main motivation is to provide a careful study of the semistable and unstable orbits: This in…
The Hitchin component Hit_n(S) of a closed surface S is a preferred component of the character variety X_PSL_n(R)(S) consisting of homomorphisms from the fundamental group pi_1(S) to the Lie group PSL_n(R)(S), whose elements enjoy remarkable geometric and dynamical properties. We consider a certain type of deformations…
We introduce basic characteristic classes and numbers as new invariants for Riemannian foliations. If the ambient Riemannian manifold M is simply connected (or more generally if the foliation is a transversely orientable Killing foliation), if M is complete and if the space of leaf closures is compact, then the basic c…
Introduces non-abelian Hodge correspondence linking algebraic structures to geometry.
In the paper we consider the theory of elliptic operators acting in subspaces defined by pseudodifferential projections. This theory on closed manifolds is connected with the theory of boundary value problems for operators violating Atiyah-Bott condition. We prove an index formula for elliptic operators in subspaces de…
In generalization of the classical Atiyah-Bott Poisson brackets on the moduli spaces of surfaces we define quasi-Poisson brackets on the moduli spaces of quasi-surfaces.
Infinite volume found in the thick part of -Hitchin-Riemann moduli space.
Given a compatible vector field on a compact connected almost-complex manifold, we show in this article that the multiplicities of eigenvalues among the zero point set of this vector field have intimate relations. We highlight a special case of our result and reinterpret it as a vanishing-type result in the framework o…

Develops parametrised Poincaré duality for equivariant fixed points.
Random representations of surface groups approach asymptotic freeness in large limit.
Moduli spaces of real bundles over a real curve arise naturally as Lagrangian submanifolds of the moduli space of semi-stable bundles over a complex curve. In this paper, we adapt the methods of Atiyah-Bott's "Yang-Mills over a Riemann Surface" to compute Z/2-Betti numbers of these spaces, proving formulas recently obt…
We show that the existence of a Fredholm element of the zero calculus of pseudodifferential operators on a compact manifold with boundary with a given elliptic symbol is determined, up to stability, by the vanishing of the Atiyah-Bott obstruction. It follows that, up to small deformations and stability, the same symbol…
Study elliptic boundary problems on surfaces, deriving index formulas.
Let be a closed surface, a compact Lie group, not necessarily connected, with Lie algebra , endowed with an adjoint action invariant scalar product, let be a principal -bundle, and pick a Riemannian metric and orientation on so that the corresponding Yang-Mills equations are defined.…
In this paper, we explain how generalized dynamical r-matrices can be obtained by (quasi-)Poisson reduction. New examples of Poisson structures and Poisson groupoid actions naturally appear in this setting. As an application, we use a generalized dynamical r-matrix induced by the gauge fixing procedure to give a new fi…
We consider Chern-Simons theory on 3-manifold that is the total space of a circle bundle over a 2d base . We show that this theory is equivalent to a new 2d TQFT on the base, which we call Caloron BF theory, that can be obtained by an appropriate type of push-forward. This is a gauge theory on a bundle with stru…
We study moduli spaces of meromorphic connections (with arbitrary order poles) over Riemann surfaces together with the corresponding spaces of monodromy data (involving Stokes matrices). Natural symplectic structures are found and described both explicitly and from an infinite dimensional viewpoint (generalising the At…
Monopole Floer homology connects 3-manifold invariants to Riemann surface geometry.
We study elliptic theory on manifolds with boundary represented as a covering space. Firstly, we consider boundary value problems, where the boundary conditions are allowed to mix the values of functions in the fibers of the covering. We show that elliptic elements define Fredholm operators and prove an index formula. …
Let G be a compact connected Lie group, and (M,ω) a Hamiltonian G-space with proper moment map μ. We give a surjectivity result which expresses the K-theory of the symplectic quotient M//G in terms of the equivariant K-theory of the original manifold M, under certain technical conditions on μ. This result is a natural …
We show that elliptic complexes of (pseudo)differential operators on smooth compact manifolds with boundary can always be complemented to a Fredholm problem by boundary conditions involving global pseudodifferential projections on the boundary (similarly as the spectral boundary conditions of Atiyah, Patodi and Singer …

Enhances Ricci flow theorem with scalar curvature bound.
We define a Poisson Algebra called the {\em swapping algebra} using the intersection of curves in the disk. We interpret a subalgebra of the fraction algebra of the swapping algebra -- called the {\em algebra of multifractions} -- as an algebra of functions on the space of cross ratios and thus as an algebra of functio…
For closed and oriented hyperbolic surfaces, a formula of Witten establishes an equality between two volume forms on the space of representations of the surface in a semisimple Lie group. One of the forms is a Reidemeister torsion, the other one is the power of the Atiyah-Bott-Goldman symplectic form. We introduce an h…
