In this paper, we introduce a monotonicity formula for the mean curvature flow which is related to self-expanders. Then we use the monotonicity to study the asymptotic behavior of Type III mean curvature flow on noncompact hypersurfaces.

Study properties of surfaces with nonvanishing third fundamental form.
The local structure of the manifolds named in the title is described. Although curvature homogeneous, they are not, in general, locally homogeneous. Not all of them are Ricci-flat, which answers an existence question about type III Jordan-Osserman metrics, raised by Diaz-Ramos, Garcia-Rio and Vazquez-Lorenzo (2006).

The study classifies manifolds based on their geometric properties and invariants.
Calculates lower bounds for type III Reidemeister moves in link diagrams.
This is our third paper in a series on the gravitational instantons. In this paper, we classify ALG and ALH gravitational instantons. In ALG case, we extend Hein's construction slightly and show that it's the only ALG gravitational instanton. In ALH case, we prove a Torelli-type theorem.
We study the number of Reidemeister type III moves using Fox n-colorings of knot diagrams.
Kähler-Ricci flow singularity type is independent of initial metric.
We prove uniform curvature estimates for homogeneous Ricci flows: For a solution defined on the norm of the curvature tensor at time is bounded by the maximum of and . This is used to show that solutions with finite extinction time are Type I, immortal solutions ar…
We show that, given an immortal solution to the Ricci flow on a closed manifold with uniformly bounded curvature and diameter, the Ricci tensor goes to zero as t goes to infinity. We also show that if there exists an immortal solution on a closed 3-dimensional manifold such that the product of the square of the diamete…

Study surfaces with nonvanishing Gauss curvature in Lorentz-Minkowski space.
In this paper, we study ruled surfaces and quadrics in the 3-dimensional Euclidean space which are of finite -type, that is, they are of finite type, in the sense of B.-Y. Chen, with respect to the third fundamental form. We show that helicoids and spheres are the only ruled and quadric surfaces of finite -ty…
We complete the theoretical framework required for the construction of a Morse homology theory for certain types of forced mean curvature flows. The main result of this paper describes the asymptotic behaviour of these flows as the forcing term tends to infinity in a certain manner. This result allows the Morse homolog…
Study Wintgen ideal submanifolds in curved spaces with specific curvature conditions.
In this paper, we study how to get the Ricci expanders from W+-functional through the heat kernel estimate of the conjugate heat equation to the type III singularity of Ricci flow. The Gaussian upper and lower bounds are established for the related heat kernel in accordance to the interesting work of Cao-Zhang for the …
We investigate some relations concerning the first and the second Beltrami operators corresponding to the fundamental forms I, II, III of a surface in the three-dimensional Euclidean space and we study surfaces which are of finite type in the sense of B.-Y. Chen with respect to the fundamental forms II and III.
This paper is concerned with deformations of Kundt metrics in the direction of type tensors and nil-Killing vector fields whose flows give rise to such deformations. We find various characterizations within the Kundt class in terms of nil-Killing vector fields and obtain a theorem classifying algebraic stability …
As a step toward understanding the analytic behavior of Type-III Ricci flow singularities, i.e. immortal solutions that exhibit |Rm|<C/t curvature decay, we examine the linearization of an equivalent flow at fixed points discovered recently by Baird--Danielo and Lott: nongradient homogeneous expanding Ricci solitons on…
Classification of 3-symmetric spaces with Ricci solitons.
Fino and Kath determined all possible holonomy groups of seven-dimensional pseu\-do-Rie\-man\-nian manifolds contained in the exceptional, non-compact, simple Lie group via the corresponding Lie algebras. They are distinguished by the dimension of their maximal semi-simple subrepresentation on the tang…
We give a local expression for the {\it scalar curvature} of the noncommutative two torus equipped with an arbitrary translation invariant complex structure and Weyl factor. This is achieved by evaluating the value of the (analytic continuation of the) {\it spectral zeta functional} $ζ_a(s): …
Study of special geometric structures on Lie groups.
For an immortal Ricci flow on an -dimensional closed manifold, we show the following convergence results: (1) if the curvature and diameter are uniformly bounded, then any unbounded sequence of time slices sub-converges to a Riemannian orbifold; (2) if the flow is type-III with diameter growth controlled …
Curvature and torsion of linear transports along paths in, respectively, vector bundles and the tangent bundle to a differentiable manifold are defined and certain their properties are derived.

Unified approach to discrete and smooth isoperimetric inequalities of arbitrary order.
In this paper, we give the full proof of a conjecture of R.Hamilton that for being a complete Riemannian 3-manifold with bounded curvature and with the Ricci pinching condition $Rc\geq \ep R g$, where is the positive scalar curvature and $\ep>0$ is a uniform constant, is compact. One of the key i…
We consider ruled and quadric surfaces in the 3-dimensional Euclidean space which are of coordinate finite type with respect to the third fundamental form , i.e., their position vector satisfies the relation where is a square matrix o…
We show the existence of several new families of non-compact constant mean curvature surfaces: (i) singly-punctured surfaces of arbitrary genus , (ii) doubly-punctured tori, and (iii) doubly periodic surfaces with Delaunay ends.
A list of possible holonomy groups contained the exceptional, non-compact Lie group was provided by Fino and Kath. The classification is due to the corresponding holonomy algebras and divided into Type I, II and III, depending on the dimension of the socle being 1,2 or 3, respectively. It was also sh…
Constructs a representation of the string 2-group on a von Neumann algebra.
We examine universal curvature identities for pseudo-Riemannian manifolds with boundary. We determine the Euler-Lagrange equations associated to the Chern-Gauss-Bonnet formula and show that they are given solely in terms of curvature {and the second fundamental form and do not involve covariant derivatives thus general…
The classification work [5], [9] left unsettled only those anomalous isoparametric hypersurfaces with four principal curvatures and multiplicity pair or in the sphere. By systematically exploring the ideal theory in commutative algebra in conjunction with the geometry of isoparametric hypers…
We show that three-dimensional homogeneous Ricci flow solutions that admit finite-volume quotients have long-time limits given by expanding solitons. We show that the same is true for a large class of four-dimensional homogeneous solutions. We give an extension of Hamilton's compactness theorem that does not assume a l…
The study links Ricci curvature and convexity in complex tori.
Based on a novel type of Sobolev-Poincaré inequality (for generalised weakly differentiable functions on varifolds), we establish a finite upper bound of the geodesic diameter of generalised compact connected surfaces-with-boundary of arbitrary dimension in Euclidean space in terms of the mean curvatures of the surface…
We study nearly-Kahler 6-manifolds equipped with a cohomogeneity-two Lie group action for which the principal orbits are coisotropic. If the metric is complete, then we show that this last condition is automatically satisfied, and both the acting Lie group and the principal orbits are finite quotients of $S^3 \times S^…
In this paper we study non-singular solutions of Ricci flow on a closed manifold of dimension at least 4. Amongst others we prove that, if M is a closed 4-manifold on which the normalized Ricci flow exists for all time t>0 with uniformly bounded sectional curvature, then the Euler characteristic . Moreover, …
We simplify and improve the curvature estimates in the paper: On the conditions to extend Ricci flow(II). Furthermore, we develop some volume estimates for the Ricci flow with bounded scalar curvature. These estimates can be applied to study the singularities of the Ricci flow and convergence properties of the Kähler R…

We study on a new kind of surface covered by translation and factorable (TF-type) surfaces in the three dimensional Euclidean space. We consider I and III Laplace-Beltrami operator surfaces of a TF-type surface. Then we obtain degrees and classes of algebraic surfaces of the surfaces using eliminate methods on software…
