48 results for quantum cohomology

We define quantum exterior product wedge_h and quantum exterior differential d_h on Poisson manifolds, of which symplectic manifolds are an important class of examples. Quantum de Rham cohomology is defined as the cohomology of d_h. We also define quantum Dolbeault cohomology. Quantum hard Lefschetz theorem is proved. …

We define quantum exterior product wedge_h and quantum exterior differential d_h on Poisson manifolds (of which symplectic manifolds are an important class of examples). Quantum de Rham cohomology, which is a deformation quantization of de Rham cohomology, is defined as the cohomology of d_h. We also define quantum Dol…

The objective of this paper is to clarify the relationships between the quantum D-module and equivariant Floer theory. Equivariant Floer theory was introduced by Givental in his paper ``Homological Geometry''. He conjectured that the quantum D-module of a symplectic manifold is isomorphic to the equivariant Floer cohom…

We describe a relation between the periodic one-dimensional Toda lattice and the quantum cohomology of the periodic flag manifold (an infinite-dimensional Kaehler manifold). This generalizes a result of Givental and Kim relating the open Toda lattice and the quantum cohomology of the finite-dimensional flag manifold. W…

Estimates quantum cohomology complexity for Fano varieties and homogeneous spaces.

problem Quantum cohomology complexity estimation for compact symplectic manifolds.
method Estimates the number of states with finite approximate complexity for Fano complete intersections and (co)minuscule homogeneous varieties.
result Sharp upper bound for the dimension of the space spanned by states with finite complexity for Gr(2, n).

We propose a new point of view on quantum cohomology, strongly motivated by the work of Givental and Dubrovin, but closer to differential geometry than the existing approaches. The central object is the D-module which "quantizes" a commutative algebra associated to the (uncompactified) space of rational curves. A stand…

The quantum differential equations can be regarded as examples of equations with certain universal properties which are of wider interest beyond quantum cohomology itself. We present this point of view as part of a framework which accommodates the KdV equation and other well known integrable systems. In the case of qua…

We use virtual neighborhood technique to establish GW-invariants, Quantum cohomology, equivariant GW-invariants, equivariant quantum cohomology and Floer cohomology for general symplectic manifold. We also establish GW-invariants for a family of symplectic manifolds. As a consequence, we prove Arnold conjecture for non…

Constructs a cyclic, filtered, strictly unital curved AA_{\infty} category for Lagrangian submanifolds and develops Floer theory.

problem Proving that any Lagrangian submanifold equipped with a weak bounding cochain lies in the category split-generated by a given collection of Lagrangian submanifolds.
method Develops a cyclic, filtered, strictly unital curved AA_{\infty} category and uses it to prove the above statement.
result Any Lagrangian submanifold equipped with a weak bounding cochain lies in the category split-generated by a given collection of Lagrangian submanifolds.

This is an introduction to some of the analytic (or integrable systems) aspects of quantum cohomology which have attracted much attention during the last few years. The small quantum cohomology algebra, regarded as an example of a Frobenius manifold, is described in the original naive manner, without going into the tec…

Quantum invariant derived from ternary cohomology of self-distributive structures.

method Constructing a ribbon category from a TSD set, showing it coincides with the cocycle invariant.

We construct a cohomology theory for oriented links using singular cobordisms and a special type of 2-dimensional Topological Quantum Field Theory (TQFT), categorifying the quantum sl(2) invariant. In particular, we give a description of the universal dot-free sl(2) foam cohomology for links via a TQFT.

We compute the classical and quantum cohomology rings of the twistor spaces of 6-dimensional hyperbolic manifolds and the eigenvalues of quantum multiplication by the first Chern class. Given a half-dimensional totally geodesic submanifold we associate, after Reznikov, a monotone Lagrangian submanifold of the twistor s…

We study possible real structures in the space of solutions to the quantum differential equation. We show that, under mild conditions, a real structure in orbifold quantum cohomology yields a pure and polarized tt^*-geometry near the large radius limit. We compute an example of P^1 which is pure and polarized over the …

Quantum cohomology gives a finite dimensional integrable system via the Dubrovin connection. Motivated by Givental's work on mirror symmetry, we use gauge theory techniques and the Frobenius Integrability Theorem to find flat sections for the Dubrovin connection. An explicit calculation is given for projective space.

We introduce and study a superversion of Dubrovin's notion of semisimple Frobenius manifolds. We establish a correspondence between semisimple Frobenius (super)manifolds and special solutions to the (supersymmetric) Schlesinger equations. Finally, we calculate the Schlesinger initial conditions for solutions describing…

Using results of Gathmann, we prove the following theorem: If a smooth projective variety X has generically semisimple (p,p)-quantum cohomology, then the same is true for the blow-up of X at any number of points. This a successful test for a modified version of Dubrovin's conjecture from the ICM 1998.
