Associated with each oriented link is the two variable Homflypt polynomial. The Morton-Franks-Williams (MFW) inequality gives rise to an expression for the Homflypt polynomial with MFW coefficient polynomials. These MFW coefficient polynomials are labelled in a braid-dependent manner and may be zero, but display a numb…
Bounding twist number of surface links using polynomial coefficients.
Study links weaving knots with polynomial coefficients and lattice numbers.
We study the structure of the stable coefficients of the Jones polynomial of an alternating link. We start by identifying the first four stable coefficients with polynomial invariants of a (reduced) Tait graph of the link projection. This leads us to introduce a free polynomial algebra of invariants of graphs whose ele…
We describe the polynomial time complexity algorithm for computing first coefficients of the skein (Homflypt) and Kauffman polynomial invariants of links, discovered by D.Vertigan in 1992 but never published.
We show that the zeroth coefficient of the cables of the HOMFLY polynomial (colored HOMFLY polynomials) does not distinguish mutants. This makes a sharp contrast with the total HOMFLY polynomial whose 3-cables can distinguish mutants.

Log-concave coefficient sequences for two-bridge knots proved.
The normalized Yamada polynomial is a polynomial invariant in variable A for theta-curves. In this work, we show that the coefficients of the power series obtained from this polynomial by the substitution A=e^x=1+x+x^2/2+x^3/6+... are finite-type invariants for theta-curves although the coefficients of original polynom…
We describe the Polyak-Viro arrow diagram formulas for the coefficients of the Conway polynomial. As a consequence, we obtain the Conway polynomial as a state sum over some subsets of the crossings of the knot diagram. It turns out to be a simplification of a special case of Jaeger's state model for the HOMFLY polynomi…
Simpler equations derived for knot polynomials coefficients, forming a ring.
We express the coefficients of the Hirzebruch L-polynomials in terms of certain alternating multiple zeta values. In particular, we show that every monomial in the Pontryagin classes appears with a non-zero coefficient, with the expected sign. Similar results hold for the polynomials associated to the A-hat genus.
We discuss the higher order stabilization of the coefficients of the colored Jones polynomial. In particular, we find an expression for the second stable sequence of the colored Jones polynomial of a certain class of knots. We also determine which knots have the same higher order stability.
Minimal polynomial found for Riemannian C_0-spaces.
New bounds for knot complexity based on Jones polynomial coefficients.
Polynomial distribution can be applied to dynamical systems in certain situations. Macroeconomic systems characterized by economic variables such as income and wealth can be modelled similarly using polynomials. We extend our previous work to data regarding income from a more diversified pool of countries, which contai…
Analytic networks with bounded coefficients can't outperform polynomial approximations.
Determinant modulo 8 classifies virtual knots based on polynomial coefficients.
We prove that the coefficients of the colored Jones polynomial of alternating links stabilize under increasing the number of twists in the twist regions of the link diagram. This gives us an infinite family of -power series derived from the colored Jones polynomial parametrized by the color and the twist regions of …
New theorem bounds link volume using surface coefficients.
Study proves Alexander polynomials of certain 4-braid knots satisfy a conjecture and gives formulas for log-concave sequences.
We find approximations by Vassiliev invariants for the coefficients of the Jones polynomial and all specializations of the HOMFLY and Kauffman polynomials. Consequently, we obtain approximations of some other link invariants arising from the homology of branched covers of links.
We find families of prime knot diagrams with arbitrary extreme coefficients in their Jones polynomials. Some graph theory is presented in connection with this problem, generalizing ideas by Yongju Bae and Morton and giving a positive answer to a question in their paper.
The Volume conjecture claims that the hyperbolic Volume of a knot is determined by the colored Jones polynomial. The purpose of this article is to show a Volume-ish theorem for alternating knots in terms of the Jones polynomial, rather than the colored Jones polynomial: The ratio of the Volume and certain sums of coeff…
Ozsváth-Szabó proved the property that any coefficient of Alexander polynomial of lens space knot is either or and the non-zero coefficients are alternating. Combining the formulas of the Alexander polynomial of lens space knots due to Kadokami-Yamada and Ichihara-Saito-Teragaito, we refine Ozsváth-Szabó's p…
Study improves HOMFLY polynomial coefficients for positive braid links.
Fox conjectured the Alexander polynomial of an alternating knot is trapezoidal, i.e. the coefficients first increase, then stabilize and finally decrease in a symmetric way. Recently, Hirasawa and Murasugi further conjectured a relation between the number of the stable coefficients in the Alexander polynomial and the s…
New formulas derived for lattice crossing coefficients, improving computation efficiency.
Using the colored Kauffman skein relation, we study the highest and lowest coefficients of the unreduced colored Jones polynomial of alternating links. This gives a natural extension of a result by Kauffman in regard with the Jones polynomial of alternating links and its highest and lowest coefficients. W…
Study Alexander polynomials of modular knots, revealing finite and infinite coefficient properties.
The colored Jones polynomial is a series of one variable Laurent polynomials J(K,n) associated with a knot K in 3-space. We will show that for an alternating knot K the absolute values of the first and the last three leading coefficients of J(K,n) are independent of n when n is sufficiently large. Computation of sample…
A string link S can be closed in a canonical way to produce an ordinary closed link L. We also consider a twisted closing which produces a knot K. We give a formula for the Conway polynomial of L as a product of the Conway polynomial of K times a power series whose coefficients are given as explicit functions of the Mi…
It is known that the minimal degree of the Jones polynomial of a positive knot is equal to its genus, and the minimal coefficient is 1. We extend this result to almost positive links and partly identify the 3 following coefficients for special types of positive links. We also give counterexamples to the Jones polynomia…
A representation of the Jacobi algebra by first order differential operators with polynomial coefficients on the manifold is presented. The Hilbert space of holomorphic functions on which the holomorphic first order differential operators with …
It is known that the colored Jones polynomial of a -adequate link has a well-defined tail consisting of stable coefficients, and that the coefficients of the tail carry geometric and topological information on the -adequate link complement. We show that a power series similar to the tail of the colored Jones poly…
We formulate a stability conjecture for the coefficients of the colored Jones polynomial of a knot, colored by irreducible representations in a fixed ray of a simple Lie algebra, and verify it for all torus knots and all simple Lie algebras of rank . Our conjecture is motivated by a structure theorem for the degree …

Basing on evaluation of the Racah coefficients for SU_q(3) (which supported the earlier conjecture of their universal form) we derive explicit formulas for all the 5-, 6- and 7-strand Wilson averages in the fundamental representation of arbitrary SU(N) group (the HOMFLY polynomials). As an application, we list the answ…
