We show that uniformly finite homology of products of nn trees vanishes in all degrees except degree nn, where it is infinite dimensional. Our method is geometric and applies to several large scale homology theories, including almost equivariant homology and controlled coarse homology. As an application we determine …

We inductively define layers of colorings of knot and knotted surface diagrams using ternary quasigroups. Homological invariants from such systems of colorings use shorter differentials and of higher degree than the standard homology differentials, and give access to typically more complex homology groups.

We summarize our axioms for higher categories, and describe the blob complex. Fixing an n-category C, the blob complex associates a chain complex B_*(W;C)$ to any n-manifold W. The 0-th homology of this chain complex recovers the usual topological quantum field theory invariants of W. The higher homology groups should …

The stable Khovanov-Rozansky homology of torus knots has been conjecturally described as the Koszul homology of an explicit non-regular sequence of polynomials. We verify this conjecture against newly available computational data for sl(3)-homology. Special attention is paid to torsion. In addition, explicit conjectura…

Uniformly finite homology is a coarse homology theory, defined via chains that satisfy a uniform boundedness condition. By construction, uniformly finite homology carries a canonical \ell^\infty-semi-norm. We show that, for uniformly discrete spaces of bounded geometry, this semi-norm on uniformly finite homology in …

We first study superpolynomial associated to triply-graded reduced colored HOMFLY-PT homology. We propose conjectures of congruent relations and cyclotomic expansion for it. We prove conjecture of N=1N=1 for torus knot case, through which we obtain the corresponding invariant α(T(m,n))=(m1)(n1)/2α(T(m,n))=-(m-1)(n-1)/2. This is closely r…

Recent work of M. Yoshinaga shows that in some instances certain higher homotopy groups of arrangements map onto non-resonant homology. This is in contrast to the usual Hurewicz map to untwisted homology, which is always the zero homomorphism in degree greater than one. In this work we examine this dichotomy, generaliz…
