We prove that complete submanifolds, on which the Omori-Yau weak maximum principle for the Hessian holds, with low codimension and bounded by cylinders of small radius must have points rich in large positive extrinsic curvature. The lower the codimension is, the richer such points are. The smaller the radius is, the la…
We prove some pinching results for the extrinsic radius of compact hypersurfaces in space forms. We show that if the pinching condion is strong enough with a dependance on the norm of the second foundamental form, then the hypersurface is diffeomorphic and almost isometric to a geodesic hypersphere.
We determine the Hausdorff limit-set of the Euclidean hypersurfaces with large or small extrinsic radius. The result depends on the norm of the curvature that is assumed to be bounded a priori, with a critical behaviour for equal to the dimension minus 1.
In this paper, we study the complete bounded -hypersurfaces in weighted volume-preserving mean curvature flow. Firstly, we investigate the volume comparison theorem of complete bounded -hypersurfaces with and get some applications of the volume comparison theorem. Secondly, we consider the relation amo…
In this paper, we prove that Euclidean hypersurfaces with almost extremal extrinsic radius or have a spectrum that asymptotically contains the spectrum of the extremal sphere in the Reilly or Hasanis-Koutroufiotis Inequalities. We also consider almost extremal hypersurfaces which satisfy a supplementary bound on …
We prove that hypersurfaces of which are almost extremal for the Reilly inequality on and have -bounded mean curvature () are Hausdorff close to a sphere, have almost constant mean curvature and have a spectrum which asymptotically contains the spectrum of the sphere. We prove the same result…
We give new estimates for the extrinsic radius of compact hypersurfaces of the Euclidean space and the open hemisphere in terms of high order mean curvatures. Then we prove pinching results corresponding to theses estimates. We show that under a suitable pinching condition, the hypersurface is diffeomorphic and almost …
We prove a descriptive theorem on the extrinsic geometry of an embedded minimal surface of injectivity radius zero in a homogeneously regular Riemannian three-manifold, in a certain small intrinsic neighborhood of a point of almost-minimal injectivity radius. This structure theorem includes a limit object which we call…

We prove spectral, stochastic and mean curvature estimates for complete -submanifolds of -manifolds with a pole in terms of the comparison isoperimetric ratio and the extrinsic radius . Our proof holds for the bounded case , recovering …
In this paper, we mainly study the compactness and local structure of immersing surfaces in with local uniform bounded area and small total curvature . A key ingredient is a new quantity which we call isothermal radius. Using the estimate of the isothermal radius we establish a…
In this paper we prove some results concerning stability of hypersurfaces in the four dimensional Euclidean space with zero scalar curvature. First we prove there is no complete stable hypersurface with zero scalar curvature, polynomial growth of integral of the mean curvature, and with the Gauss-Kronecker curvature bo…
We prove a formula for the normal injectivity radius(thickness)i(K,M)for C^{1,1} compact submanifolds K^k of complete Riemannian manifolds M^n in terms of geometric focal distance and double critical points. We also prove the C^1 compactness of the set of all compact submanifolds K contained in a compact subset D of a …

The study defines and characterizes extrinsic catenaries in hyperbolic space.
We describe extrinsic hyperspheres and totally geodesic hypersurfaces in manifolds with special holonomy. In particular we prove the nonexistence of extrinsic hyperspheres in quaternion-Kaehler manifolds. We develop a new approach to extrinsic hyperspheres based on the classification of special Killing forms.
We find a one-to-one correspondence between full extrinsic symmetric spaces in (possibly degenerate) inner product spaces and certain algebraic objects called (weak) extrinsic symmetric triples. In particular, this yields a description of arbitrary extrinsic symmetric spaces in pseudo-Euclidean spaces by corresponding …
Proves stability of spacetime Penrose inequality for spherical symmetric initial data.
Having developed a description of indefinite extrinsic symmetric spaces by corresponding infinitesimal objects in the preceding paper we now study the classification problem for these algebraic objects. In most cases the transvection group of an indefinite extrinsic symmetric space is not semisimple, which makes the cl…
Study on ratio of intrinsic to extrinsic metrics and its relation to surface area.
We establish a method for giving lower bounds for the fundamental tone of elliptic operators in divergence form in terms of the divergence of vector fields. We then apply this method to the operator associated to immersed hypersurfaces with locally bounded -th mean curvature of the space forms …

In this article we introduce a generalization of the Newton transformation to the case of a system of endomorphisms. We show that it can be used in the context of extrinsic geometry of foliations and distributions yielding new integral formulas containing generalized extrinsic curvatures.

We study infinitesimal semi-simple extrinsic symmetric spaces and give a classification in the symplectic case.
We study the topology of (properly) immersed complete minimal surfaces in Hyperbolic and Euclidean spaces which have finite total extrinsic curvature, using some isoperimetric inequalities satisfied by the extrinsic balls in these surfaces, (see \cite{Pa}). We present an alternative and partially unified proof of…
We prove the energy identity and the no neck property for a sequence of smooth extrinsic polyharmonic maps with bounded total energy.
Extrinsic Geometric Flow (EGF) for a codimension-one foliation has been recently introduced by authors as deformations of Riemannian metrics subject to quantities expressed in terms of its second fundamental form. In the paper we introduce soliton solutions to EGF and study their geometry for totally umbilical foliatio…
In the paper we prove, that extrinsic curvature does not impose restrictions on the topology of a contact structure, except the obvious ones.
The diameter of a disc filling a loop in the universal covering of a Riemannian manifold may be measured extrinsically using the distance function on the ambient space or intrinsically using the induced length metric on the disc. Correspondingly, the diameter of a van Kampen diagram filling a word that represents the i…

In this note, we prove lower and upper bounds for Dirac operators of submanifolds in certain ambient manifolds in terms of conformal and extrinsic quantities.
The following Theorem is proved: Let M be an n-dimensional (n>2) submanifold of a Riemannian manifold N. Suppose that through each point p of M there exist two (n-1)-dimensional extrinsic spheres of N, which are contained in M in a neighbourhood of p and are tangent to each other at p. Then M is totally geodesic in N o…
Discretizations of the mean curvature and extrinsic curvature components are constructed on piecewise flat simplicial manifolds, giving approximations for smooth curvature values in a mostly mesh-independent way. These constructions are given in combinatoric form in terms of the extrinsic hinge angles, the intrinsic st…

We study, from the extrinsic point of view, the structure at infinity of open submanifolds isometrically immersed in the real space forms of constant sectional curvature . We shall use the decay of the second fundamental form of the the so-called tamed immersions to obtain a description at infinity of the subm…
