We prove that the fundamental group of any Seifert 3-manifold is conjugacy separable. That is, conjugates may be distinguished in finite quotients or, equivalently, conjugacy classes are closed in the pro-finite topology.

We show that every non-decreasing function bounded from above by for some can be realized (up to a natural equivalence) as the conjugacy growth function of a finitely generated group. We also construct a finitely generated group and a subgroup of index 2 such…

Study Agol cycles for pseudo-Anosov 3-braids.
We study perturbations of a partially hyperbolic toral automorphism L which is diagonalizable over C and has a dense center foliation. For a small perturbation of L with a smooth center foliation we establish existence of a smooth leaf conjugacy to L. We also show that if a small perturbation of an ergodic irreducible …

This paper classifies links in 3D dynamical systems.
A limit group is the limit of a sequence of conjugates of the diagonal Cartan subgroup, C, of SL(3,R). We show C has 5 possible limit groups, up to conjugacy. Each limit group is determined by an equivalence class of nonstandard triangle, and we give a criterion for a sequence of conjugates of C to converge to each of …
Let be a group. Two elements are said to be {\it -equivalent} if their centralizers are conjugate in . The class equation of is the partition of into conjugacy classes. Further decomposition of conjugacy classes into -classes provides an important information about the internal structure of …

Study Agol cycles in pseudo-Anosov 3-braids.
The ellipticity graph of a free group was defined by I. Kapovich and M. Lustig in order to study the outer automorphism group of , which acts on this graph. The graph was constructed to be analogous to the curve complex of a surface. It is a bipartite graph, whose vertices are conjugacy classes of nontrivial ele…
We study real nonsingular projective cubic fourfolds up to deformation equivalence combined with projective equivalence and prove that they are classified by the conjugacy classes of involutions induced by the complex conjugation in the middle homology. Moreover, we provide a graph whose vertices represent the equivale…
Study on homeomorphism groups of manifolds using set theory.
Inspired by results of Eskin and Mirzakhani counting closed geodesics of length in the moduli space of a fixed closed surface, we consider a similar question in the setting. The Eskin-Mirzakhani result can be equivalently stated in terms of counting the number of conjugacy classes (within the mapping…
In this paper we give an algorithm for solving a main case of the conjugacy problem in the braid groups. We also prove that half-twists satisfy a special root property which allows us to reduce the solution for the conjugacy problem in half-twists into the free group. Using this algorithm one is able to check conjugacy…
We characterize in terms of the Goldman Lie algebra which conjugacy classes in the fundamental group of a surface with non empty boundary are represented by simple closed curves. We prove the following: A non power conjugacy class X contains an embedded representative if and only if the Goldman Lie bracket of X with th…
The aim of this paper is to classify the cohomogeneity one conformal actions on the three-dimensional essential Riemannian spaces, up to orbit equivalence. Among other results, the representations of all connected Lie groups acting with cohomogeneity one or zero within the full conformal group of a given three-dimensio…
The conjugacy problem for the pseudo-Anosov automorphisms of a compact surface is studied. To each pseudo-Anosov automorphism f, we assign an AF-algebra A(f) (an operator algebra). It is proved that the assignment is functorial, i.e. every f', conjugate to f, maps to an AF-algebra A(f'), which is stably isomorphic to A…
This paper uses work of Haettel to classify all subgroups of PGL(4,R) isomorphic to (R^3 , +), up to conjugacy. We use this to show there are 4 families of generalized cusps up to projective equivalence in dimension 3.

The paper characterizes finite metacyclic subgroups in mapping class groups of surfaces.
We derive a generating series for the number of free subgroups of finite index in by using a connection between free subgroups of and certain hypermaps (also known as ribbon graphs or "fat" graphs), and show that this generating series is transcendental. We provide non-linear rec…
The aim of this paper is to classify the cohomogeneity one conformal actions on the 3-dimensional Einstein universe , up to orbit equivalence. In a recent paper [21], we studied the unique (up to conjugacy) irreducible action of on and we showed that the action is of cohomog…
Method constructs CFMMs matching desired payoffs.
We prove that fundamental groups of non-orientable 3-manifolds have a solvable conjugacy problem, and construct an algorithm. Together with our earlier work on the conjugacy problem in groups on orientable geometrizable 3-manifolds, all of (geometrizable) 3-manifolds have a solvable conjugacy problem. In corollar…

Solves double coset problem for braid group H_n.
Study of conjugacy classes in infinite-type surfaces' mapping class groups.
In 2006 Masuda and Suh asked if two compact non-singular toric varieties having isomorphic cohomology rings are homeomorphic. In the first part of this paper we discuss this question for topological generalizations of toric varieties, so-called torus manifolds. For example we show that there are homotopy equivalent tor…
The aim of this paper is to classify cohomogeneity one isometric actions on the 4-dimensional Minkowski space , up to orbit equivalence. Representations, up to conjugacy, of the acting groups in are given in both cases, proper and non-proper actions. When the action is…
Classifies manifolds with dense conjugacy classes in their mapping class groups.
We use the theory of group actions on profinite trees to prove that the fundamental group of a finite, 1-acylindrical graph of free groups with finitely generated edge groups is conjugacy separable. This has several applications: we prove that positive, one-relator groups are conjugacy separable; we provide a…
We study the contact equivalence problem for toric contact structures on -bundles over . That is, given two toric contact structures, one can ask the question: when are they equivalent as contact structures while inequivalent as toric contact structures? In general this appears to be a difficult problem. To f…
Study conjugacy classes of parabolic diffeomorphisms fixing the origin.
Fix a finite group and a conjugacy invariant subset . Let be an oriented surface, possibly with punctures. We consider the question of when two homomorphisms taking punctures into are equivalent up to an orientation preserving diffeomorphism of . We provide an answer to this …
We characterize H-like Lie algebras in terms of subspaces of cones over conjugacy classes in , translating the classification problem for H-like Lie algebras to an equivalent problem in linear algebra. We study properties of H-like Lie algebras, present new methods for constructing them, in…
In this article, we study connections between representation theory and efficient solutions to the conjugacy problem on finitely generated groups. The main focus is on the conjugacy problem in conjugacy separable groups, where we measure efficiency in terms of the size of the quotients required to distinguish a distinc…
Given a countable group splitting as a free product , we establish classification results for subgroups of the group of all outer automorphisms of that preserve the conjugacy classes of each . We show that every finitely generated subgroup $H\subseteq Ou…
The purpose of the present paper is to prove for finitely generated groups of type I the following conjecture of A.Fel'shtyn and R.Hill, which is a generalization of the classical Burnside theorem. Let G be a countable discrete group, f one of its automorphisms, R(f) the number of f-conjugacy classes, and S(f)=# Fix (f…

This paper explores links from Thompson's group conjugacy classes.
We show that the Lawrence--Krammer representation is unitary. We explicitly present the non-singular matrix representing the sesquilinear pairing invariant under the action. We show that reversing the orientation of a braid is equivalent to the transposition of its Lawrence--Krammer matrix followed by a certain conjuga…
