In this article, we investigate the stability of leaves of minimal foliations of arbitrary codimension. We also study relations between Jacobi fields and vector fields which preserves a foliation and we use these results to Killing fields.

Linear bound on Betti numbers of negatively curved orbifolds.
For certain problems involving vector fields, it is possible to find an associated imaginary field that, in conjunction with the first, forms a complex field for which the equation can be solved. This result is generalized to arbitrary Clifford algebras, followed by quaternionic vectors as a special case. All results a…
We present an axiomatic approach to finite- and infinite-dimensional differential calculus over arbitrary infinite fields (and, more generally, suitable rings). The corresponding basic theory of manifolds and Lie groups is developed. Special attention is paid to the case of mappings between topological vector spaces ov…
Study proves uniqueness of Yang-Mills field tangent cones in arbitrary dimensions.
Culler-Shalen theory extended to arbitrary characteristic.
We study the problem of learning graphical models with latent variables. We give the first algorithm for learning locally consistent (ferromagnetic or antiferromagnetic) Restricted Boltzmann Machines (or RBMs) with {\em arbitrary} external fields. Our algorithm has optimal dependence on dimension in the sample complexi…
Two Kähler metrics on a complex manifold are called c-projectively equivalent if their -planar curves coincide. These curves are defined by the property that the acceleration is complex proportional to the velocity. We give an explicit local description of all pairs of c-projectively equivalent Kähler metrics of arb…
Formula calculates instanton homology dimensions for knot surgeries over arbitrary fields.
We classify invariant Lagrangians of the form depending at most quadratically on the variables and , where is a Lorentz metric and is a tensor field of arbitrary rank on a smooth manifold. As a corollary, we prove a conjecture of Bray'…
Study of cosmic microwave background polarization using spin random fields.
A vector field on a Riemannian manifold is called conformal Killing if it generates one-parameter group of conformal transformations. The class of conformal Killing symmetric tensor fields of an arbitrary rank is a natural generalization of the class of conformal Killing vector fields, and appears in different geometri…
Generalizes Gelfand's spectrum to monogenic spinor fields on compact Riemannian manifolds.
The study finds rational points on specific types of hypersurfaces.
We use the conformal method to obtain solutions of the Einstein-scalar field gravitational constraint equations. Handling scalar fields is a bit more challenging than handling matter fields such as fluids, Maxwell fields or Yang-Mills fields, because the scalar field introduces three extra terms into the Lichnerowicz e…
Newtonian dynamical systems which accept the normal shift on an arbitrary Riemannian manifold are considered. For them the determinating equations making the weak normality condition are derived. The expansion for the algebra of tensor fields is constructed.
Classifies vector field algebras in complex space.
The aim of this paper is to propose an unambiguous intrinsic formalism for higher-order field theories which avoids the arbitrariness in the generalization of the conventional description of field theories, which implies the existence of different Cartan forms and Legendre transformations. We propose a differential-geo…
We develop a new approach on the (1+3) threading of spacetime with respect to a congruence of curves defined by an arbitrary timelike vector field. The study is based on spatial tensor fields and on the Riemannian spatial connection , which behave as geometric objects. We obtain new formul…
We construct geometric examples of pseudomanifolds that satisfy the Witt condition for intersection homology Poincare duality with respect to certain fields but not others. We also compute the bordism theory of -Witt spaces for an arbitrary field , extending results of Siegel for .
Killing tensors on complex projective space are identified and generated by Killing fields.
The paper is devoted to vector fields on the spaces R^2 and R^3, their flow and invariants. Attention is plaid on the tensor representations of the group GL(2,R) and on fundamental vector fields. The rotation group on R^3 is generalized to rotation groups with arbitrary quadrics as orbits.
Developed LQ MFG theory with common noise, proving existence and uniqueness.
We give in this paper which is the third in a series of four a theory of covariant derivatives of representatives of multivector and extensor fields on an arbitrary open set U of M, based on the geometric and extensor calculus on an arbitrary smooth manifold M. This is done by introducing the notion of a connection ext…
We construct a combinatorial invariant of Legendrian knots in standard contact three-space. This invariant, which encodes rational relative Symplectic Field Theory and extends contact homology, counts holomorphic disks with an arbitrary number of positive punctures. The construction uses ideas from string topology.
We give a new and self-contained proof of the existence and unicity of the flow for an arbitrary (not necessarily homogeneous) smooth vector field on a real supermanifold, and extend these results to the case of holomorphic vector fields on complex supermanifolds. Furthermore we discuss local actions associated to supe…
Poisson-NIjenhuis structures for an arbitrary Lie agebroid are defined and studied by means of tangent lifts of tensor fields.
We introduce a weighted de Rham operator which acts on arbitrary tensor fields by considering their structure as r-fold forms. We can thereby define associated superpotentials for all tensor fields in all dimensions and, from any of these superpotentials, we deduce in a straightforward and natural manner the existence …
For , we exhibit a lower bound for the volume of a unit vector field on depending on the absolute values of its Poincaré indices around . We determine which vector fields achieve this volume, and discuss the idea of having multiple isolated singularities of arbitra…
We define the notion of characteristic classes for supermanifolds endowed with a homological vector field . These take values in the cohomology of the Lie derivative operator acting on arbitrary tensor fields. We formulate a classification theorem for intrinsic characteristic classes and give their explicit de…
The paper studies a new vacuum field equation and its solutions.
In his recent investigation of a super Teichmüller space, Sachse (2007), based on work of Molotkov (1984), has proposed a theory of Banach supermanifolds using the `functor of points' approach of Bernstein and Schwarz. We prove that the the category of Berezin-Kostant-Leites supermanifolds is equivalent to the category…
Given a Gaussian Markov random field, we consider the problem of selecting a subset of variables to observe which minimizes the total expected squared prediction error of the unobserved variables. We first show that finding an exact solution is NP-hard even for a restricted class of Gaussian Markov random fields, calle…
In this paper, we study submanifolds with constant th mean curvature . We investigate, the stability of such submanifolds in the case when they are leaves of a codimension one foliation. We also generalize recent results by Barros - Sousa and Alías - Colares, concerning conformal fields, to an arbitrary manifol…
We develop a spinorial description of CR structures of arbitrary codimension. More precisely, we characterize almost CR structures of arbitrary codimension on (Riemannian) manifolds by the existence of a Spin structure carrying a partially pure spinor field. We study various integrability conditions of the alm…
Solves Lie's 3D metric problem for projective vector fields.
In this article, using the generalized Newton transformation, we define higher order mean curvatures of distributions of arbitrary codimension and we show that they agree with the ones from Brito and Naveira (Ann. Global Anal. Geom. 18, 371-383 (2000)). We also introduce higher order mean curvature vector fields and we…
Starting with the most general four-dimensional spacetime possessing two commuting Killing vectors and a nontrivial Killing tensor, we analytically integrate Einstein-Yang-Mills equations for a completely arbitrary gauge group. It is assumed that the gauge field inherits the symmetries of the background and is aligned …
The paper explains the topological origin of the distinction between incidence theorems over division rings and fields.
The static of smooth maps from the two-dimensional disc to a smooth manifold can be regarded as a simplified version of the Classical Field Theory. In this paper we construct the Tulczyjew triple for the problem and describe the Lagrangian and Hamiltonian formalism. We outline also natural generalizations of this appro…
We determine the most general group of equivalence transformations for a family of differential equations defined by an arbitrary vector field on a manifold. We also find all invariants and differential invariants for this group up to the second order. A result on the characterization of classes of these equations by t…
Study vector fields and flows on singular spaces like submanifolds.
We give in this paper which is the fifth in a series of eight a theory of covariant derivatives of multivector and extensor fields based on the geometric calculus of an arbitrary smooth manifold M, and the notion of a connection extensor field defining a parallelism structure on M. Also we give a novel and intrinsic pr…
New method constructs axial vector fields and defines quasi-local spin-angular momentum.
We show that on simple surfaces the geodesic ray transform acting on solenoidal symmetric tensor fields of arbitrary order is injective. This solves a long standing inverse problem in the two-dimensional case.
We extend the calculus of multiplicative vector fields and differential forms and their intrinsic derivatives from Lie groups to Lie groupoids; this generalization turns out to include also the classical process of complete lifting from arbitrary manifolds to tangent and cotangent bundles. Using this calculus we give a…
New geometry theory solves dark matter issues.
The correspondence between Riemann-Finsler geometries and effective field theories with spin-independent Lorentz violation is explored. We obtain the general quadratic action for effective scalar field theories in any spacetime dimension with Lorentz-violating operators of arbitrary mass dimension. Classical relativist…
