We give a new proof of Witten asymptotic conjecture for Seifert manifolds with non vanishing Euler class and one exceptional fiber. Our method is based on semiclassical analysis on a two dimensional phase space torus. We prove that the Witten-Reshetikhin-Turaev invariant of a Seifert manifold is the scalar product of t…

For a banded link LL in a surface times a circle, the Witten-Reshetikhin-Turaev invariants are topological invariants depending on a sequence of complex 2p2p-th roots of unity (Ap)p2N(A_p)_{p\in 2\mathbb{N}}. We show that there exists a polynomial PLP_L such that these normalized invariants converge to PL(u)P_L(u) when ApA_p

Let XX be a smooth, closed, connected, orientable four-manifold with b1(X)=0b^1(X)=0 and b+(X)3b^+(X)\geq 3 and odd. We show that if XX has Seiberg-Witten simple type, then the SO(3)-monopole cobordism formula of Feehan and Leness (2002) implies Witten's Conjecture relating the Donaldson and Seiberg-Witten invariants.

The state of a knot is defined in the realm of Chern-Simons topological quantum field theory as a holomorphic section on the SU(2) character manifold of the peripheral torus. We compute the asymptotics of the torus knot states in terms of the Alexander polynomial, the Reidemeister torsion and the Chern-Simons invariant…

We consider the asymptotics of the Turaev-Viro and the Reshetikhin-Turaev invariants of a hyperbolic 33-manifold, evaluated at the root of unity exp(2π1/r)\exp({2π\sqrt{-1}}/{r}) instead of the standard exp(π1/r)\exp({π\sqrt{-1}}/{r}). We present evidence that, as rr tends to \infty, these invariants grow exponentially with growt…

Witten's conjecture suggests that the polynomial invariants of Donaldson are expressible in terms of the Seiberg-Witten invariants if the underlying four-manifold is of simple type. A higher rank version of the Donaldson invariants was introduced by Kronheimer. Before even having been defined, the physicists Mariño and…
