With respect to the Dirac operator and the conformally invariant Laplacian, an explicit description of the inverse Penrose transform on Riemannian twistor spaces is given. A Dolbeault representative of cohomology on the twistor space is constructed from a solution of the field equation on the base manifold.

Proves Kato inequalities for various conformal operators.
On a Kähler spin manifold Kählerian twistor spinors are a natural analogue of twistor spinors on Riemannian spin manifolds. They are defined as sections in the kernel of a first order differential operator adapted to the Kähler structure, called Kählerian twistor (Penrose) operator. We study Kählerian twistor spinors a…
Penrose transform tells us that there is an isomorphism of the kernel of an invariant differential operator studied in the paper [TS] and sheaf cohomology of some vector bundle on twistor space. The point of this paper is to write down this isomorphism explicitly. Explicit form of the isomorphism will be crucial for fu…
This article gives a study of the higher-dimensional Penrose transform between conformally invariant massless fields on space-time and cohomology classes on twistor space, where twistor space is defined to be the space of projective pure spinors of the conformal group. We focus on the 6-dimensional case in which twisto…
We study the Penrose transform for the `quaternionic objects' whose twistor spaces are complex manifolds endowed with locally complete families of embedded Riemann spheres with positive normal bundles.
The paper recasts Penrose-Sparling's non-Hausdorff twistor space using noncommutative geometry.
We show that, in quaternionic geometry, the Ward transform is a manifestation of the functoriality of the basic correspondence between the -quaternionic manifolds and their twistor spaces. We apply this fact, together with the Penrose transform, to obtain existence results for hypercomplex manifolds and for harmonic…
We give a generalization of the Penrose transform on Hermitian manifolds with metrics locally conformally equivalent to Bochner-Kähler metrics. We also give an explicit formula for the inverse transform. This paper is a generalization of "The Twistor correspondence of the Dolbeault complex over $\C^n$" (dg-ga/9501004) …
We establish a Penrose-Ward transform yielding a bijection between holomorphic principal 2-bundles over a twistor space and non-Abelian self-dual tensor fields on six-dimensional flat space-time. Extending the twistor space to supertwistor space, we derive sets of manifestly N=(1,0) and N=(2,0) supersymmetric non-Abeli…
We review aspects of twistor theory, its aims and achievements spanning thelast five decades. In the twistor approach, space--time is secondary with events being derived objects that correspond to compact holomorphic curves in a complex three--fold -- the twistor space. After giving an elementary construction of this s…
Motivated by black hole physics in N=2, D=4 supergravity, we study the geometry of quaternionic-Kahler manifolds M obtained by the c-map construction from projective special Kahler manifolds M_s. Improving on earlier treatments, we compute the Kahler potentials on the twistor space Z and Swann space S in the complex co…
We demonstrate how the complex integral formula for the Airy functions arises from Penrose's twistor contour integral formula. We then use the Lax formulation of the isomonodromy problem with one irregular singularity of order four to show that the Airy equation arises from the anti-self-duality equations for conformal…

The aim of this article is to use generalized complex structures in order to extend the definition of twistor spaces given by Penrose. We will adapt the integrability result of Atiyah, Hitchin and Singer. We will deduce new correspondences betwenn differential geometry and (generalized) complex geometry. In the last se…
Symmetry operators of twistor spinors and harmonic spinors can be constructed from conformal Killing-Yano forms. Transformation operators relating twistors to harmonic spinors are found in terms of potential forms. These constructions are generalized to gauged twistor spinors and gauged harmonic spinors. The operators …
We consider gauged twistor spinors which are supersymmetry generators of supersymmetric and superconformal field theories in curved backgrounds. We show that the spinor bilinears of gauged twistor spinors satify the gauged conformal Killing-Yano equation. We prove that the symmetry operators of the gauged twistor spino…
We construct manifestly superconformal field theories in six dimensions which contain a non-Abelian tensor multiplet. In particular, we show how principal 3-bundles over a suitable twistor space encode solutions to these self-dual tensor field theories via a Penrose-Ward transform. The resulting higher or categorified …
The basic first-order differential operators of spin geometry that are Dirac operator and twistor operator are considered. Special types of spinors defined from these operators such as twistor spinors and Killing spinors are discussed. Symmetry operators of massless and massive Dirac equations are introduced and releva…
We show that the first-order symmetry operators of twistor spinors can be constructed from conformal Killing-Yano forms in conformally-flat backgrounds. We express the conditions on conformal Killing-Yano forms to obtain mutually commuting symmetry operators of twistor spinors. Conformal superalgebras which consist of …
Various complexes of differential operators are constructed on complex projective space via the Penrose transform, which also computes their cohomology.
We introduce the symplectic twistor operator in symplectic spin geometry, as a symplectic analogue of the twistor operator in Riemannian spin geometry. We focus on the real dimension 2 and compute the space of its solutions on . Our analysis is based on the techniques of metaplectic Howe duality.
This work applies Double Field Theory to four-dimensional manifolds, revealing connections to integrability and twistor theory.
We study some aspects of conformal transformations in the context of twistor theory, leading to the definition of a frustrated conformal transformation. This equation relies on two instantons for the left and right copies of , one being self-dual and the other anti-self-dual. Solutions to this equation naturally…

We study general linear perturbations of a class of 4d real-dimensional hyperkahler manifolds obtainable by the (generalized) Legendre transform method. Using twistor methods, we show that deformations can be encoded in a set of holomorphic functions of 2d+1 variables, as opposed to the functions of d+1 variables contr…
We present a version of the Penrose transform which relates compactly supported cohomology on a complex or CR manifold Z to kernels and cokernels of differential operators on a parameter space X of compact complex submanifolds of Z.
The aim of our article is the study of solution space of the symplectic twistor operator in symplectic spin geometry on standard symplectic space , which is the symplectic analogue of the twistor operator in (pseudo)Riemannian spin geometry. In particular, we observe a substantial difference…
The equations governing anti-self-dual and Einstein-Weyl conformal geometries can be regarded as `master dispersionless systems' in four and three dimensions respectively. Their integrability by twistor methods has been established by Penrose and Hitchin. In this note we present, in specially adapted coordinate systems…

Twistor forms are a natural generalization of conformal vector fields on Riemannian manifolds. They are defined as sections in the kernel of a conformally invariant first order differential operator. We study twistor forms on compact Kaehler manifolds and give a complete description up to special forms in the middle di…
Gauge symmetries are a cornerstone of modern physics but they come with technical difficulties when it comes to quantization, to accurately describe particles phenomenology or to extract observables in general. These shortcomings must be met by essentially finding a way to effectively reduce gauge symmetries. We propos…
New eigenvalue estimate for CR manifolds' Kohn-Dirac operator.
The Teukolsky equations are currently the leading approach for analysing stability of linear massless fields propagating in rotating black holes. It has recently been shown that the geometry of these equations can be understood in terms of a connection constructed from the conformal and complex structure of Petrov type…
In this review, basic definitions of spin geometry are given and some of its applications to supersymmetry, supergravity and condensed matter physics are summarized. Quaternion-Kaehler four-manifolds, or equivalently anti-self-dual Einstein manifolds, are locally determined by one scalar function subject to Przanowski's equation. Using twistorial methods we construct a Lax Pair for Przanowski's equation, confirming its integrability. The Lee form of a compatible local complex struc…

For a symplectic manifold admitting a metaplectic structure (a symplectic analogue of the Riemannian spin structure), we construct a sequence consisting of differential operators using a symplectic torsion-free affine connection. All but one of these operators are of first order. The first order ones are symplectic ana…
We study the Dirac spectrum on compact Riemannian spin manifolds equipped with a metric connection with skew torsion by means of twistor theory. An optimal lower bound for the first eigenvalue of the Dirac operator with torsion is found that generalizes Friedrich's classical Riemannian estimate.…
In 1995 D. Joyce explicitly constructed a series of self-dual metrics with torus action on the connected sums of complex projective planes. In this paper we explicitly construct the twistor spaces of some of Joyce's self-dual metrics. Starting from a fiber space whose fibers are compact singular toric surfaces, we appl…
We prove the equality case of the Penrose inequality in all dimensions for asymptotically flat hypersurfaces. It was recently proven by G. Lam that the Penrose inequality holds for asymptotically flat graphical hypersurfaces in Euclidean space with non-negative scalar curvature and with a minimal boundary. Our main the…
In this paper we continue our study of the fourth order transgression on hyperähler manifolds introduced in the previous paper. We give a local construction for the fourth-order transgression of the Chern character form of an arbitrary vector bundle supplied with a self-dual connection on a four dimensional hyperkähler…
