This note is motivated by Y.G. Oh's conjecture that the Clifford torus in minimizes volume in its Hamiltonian deformation class. We show that there exist explicit positive constants depending on the dimension with such that for any Lagrangian torus in the Hamiltonian class of $…

The Euclidean traveller explores various geometric spaces, seeing different places in each.
We show that deformations of a coisotropic submanifold inside a fibrewise entire Poisson manifold are controlled by the -algebra introduced by Oh-Park (for symplectic manifolds) and Cattaneo-Felder. In the symplectic case, we recover results previously obtained by Oh-Park. Moreover we consider the extended de…
Hamiltonian minimality (H-minimality) for Lagrangian submanifolds is a symplectic analogue of Riemannian minimality. A Lagrangian submanifold is called H-minimal if the variations of its volume along all Hamiltonian vector fields are zero. This notion was introduced in the work of Y.-G. Oh in connection with the celebr…
In this paper, we attach an -algebra to any coisotropic submanifold in a Jacobi manifold. Our construction generalizes and unifies analogous constructions by Oh-Park (symplectic case), Cattaneo-Felder (Poisson case), Lê-Oh (locally conformal symplectic case). As a new special case, we attach an -alg…
We study the role that Hamiltonian and symplectic diffeomorphisms play in the deformation problem of coisotropic submanifolds. We prove that the action by Hamiltonian diffeomorphisms corresponds to the gauge-action of the -algebra of Oh and Park. Moreover we introduce the notion of extended gauge-equivalence …
We consider the problem of strongly-convex online optimization in presence of adversarial delays; in a T-iteration online game, the feedback of the player's query at time t is arbitrarily delayed by an adversary for d_t rounds and delivered before the game ends, at iteration t+d_t-1. Specifically for \algo{online-gradi…
In this paper we investigate the functors of OH of positively homogenous functionals and OS of semiadditive functionals. We show that OH(X) is AR if and only if X is openly generated, and OS(X) is AR if and only if X is an openly generated compactum of weight less than . Also, we investigate the multiplication map…

Let be a compact toric Kähler manifold with nef. Let be a regular fiber of the moment map of the Hamiltonian torus action on . Fukaya-Oh-Ohta-Ono defined open Gromov-Witten (GW) invariants of as virtual counts of holomorphic discs with Lagrangian boundary condition . We prove a formula…

Proves finite measure implies product structure for certain discrete subgroups.
From the cohomological point of view the symplectomorphism group of a symplectic manifold is `` tamer'' than the diffeomorphism group. The existence of invariant polynomials in the Lie algebra , the symplectic Chern-Weil theory, and the existence of Chern-Simons-type secondary classes are…
In this note, we study the SYZ mirror construction for a toric Calabi-Yau manifold using instanton corrections coming from Woodward's quasimap Floer theory instead of Fukaya-Oh-Ohta-Ono's Lagrangian Floer theory. We show that the resulting SYZ mirror coincides with the one written down via physical means (as expected).
In this paper, using similar idea as in Fukaya-Oh's work ([9]), we devise a method to compute the Fukaya category of certain exact symplectic manifolds by reducing it to the corresponding Morse category of non-Hausdorff manifold as perturbation of the Lagrangian skeleton of the exact symplectic manifold.
A new method, Count-MORL, improves offline reinforcement learning by using state-action frequency.
For a nontrivial knot , Negami found an upper bound on the stick number in terms of its crossing number which is . Later, Huh and Oh utilized the arc index to present a more precise upper bound . Furthermore, Kim, No and Oh found an upp…
A graph is called intrinsically knotted if every embedding of the graph contains a knotted cycle. Johnson, Kidwell and Michael, and, independently, Mattman showed that intrinsically knotted graphs have at least 21 edges. Recently Lee, Kim, Lee and Oh, and, independently, Barsotti and Mattman, showed that and the …
Extends classification of hyperbolic Dehn fillings in quadratic fields.
Study shows exact dimensionality and regularity of manifolds for specific groups.
'Kuranishi spaces' were introduced in the work of Fukaya, Oh, Ohta and Ono in symplectic geometry (see e.g. arXiv:1106.4882), as the geometric structure on moduli spaces of -holomorphic curves. An alternative to Kuranishi spaces is the 'polyfolds' of Hofer, Wysocki and Zehnder (see e.g. arXiv:1407.3185). Finding a s…
New data shows multiple black holes can form from modified vacuum data.
In 1993, Y.-G. Oh proposed a problem whether standard Lagrangian tori in C^n are volume minimizing under Hamiltonian isotopies of C^n. In this article, we prove that most of them do not have such property if the dimension n is greater than two. We also discuss the existence of Hamiltonian non-volume minimizing Lagrangi…
In this paper we further investigate the geometry of monads of order-preserving functionals and of positively homogeneous functionals. We prove that for any compactum X with the map , where , is homeomorphic to trivial -fibration if and only if is openly generated -homogeneou…
Study optimal consumption with drawdown limits over a fixed time frame.
We define an integer graded symplectic Floer cohomology and a spectral sequence which are new invariants for monotone Lagrangian sub-manifolds and exact isotopies. Such an integer graded Floer cohomology is an integral lifting of the usual Floer-Oh cohomology with $Z_{\Si (L)}$ grading. As one of applications of the sp…
Holdout set improves risk score accuracy without biasing predictions.
In this article we use the "escape from subvarieties lemma" introduced by Eskin--Mozes--Oh to prove finite step rigidity results for the Jordan-Lyapunov projection spectra of Hitchin representations and the Margulis-Smilga invariant spectra of some special Margulis-Smilga spacetimes. In the process, we also prove a sim…
Constructs a solution operator for hyperbolic gluing in higher dimensions.
We give explicit, practical conditions that determine whether or not a closed, connected subgroup H of G = SU(2,n) has the property that there exists a compact subset C of G with CHC = G. To do this, we fix a Cartan decomposition G = K A K of G, and then carry out an approximate calculation of the intersection of KHK w…
This research connects quantum spectra of flag bundles to prime factorization of integers.
In this paper, we 'construct' a 2-functor from the unobstructed immersed Weinstein category to the category of all filtered categories. We consider arbitrary (compact) symplectic manifolds and its arbitrary (relatively spin) immersed Lagrangian submanifolds. The filtered category associated to…
Let H be a closed, connected subgroup of a connected, simple Lie group G with finite center. The homogeneous space G/H has a "tessellation" if there is a discrete subgroup D of G, such that D acts properly discontinuously on G/H, and the double-coset space D\G/H is compact. Note that if either H or G/H is compact, then…
We introduce a canonical affine connection on the contact manifold , which is associated to each contact triad where is a contact form and is an endomorphism with compatible to . We call it the \emph{contact triad connection} of and prove its existence and uniqu…
In this paper we use continuous family of multisections of the moduli space of pseudo holomorphic discs to partially improve, in the case of real coefficient, the construction of Lagrangian Floer cohomology of which the author developed jointly with Oh-Ohta-Ono. Namely we associate cyclically symmetric filtered A infin…
We generalize the "hamiltonian topology" on hamiltonian isotopies to an intrinsic "symplectic topology" on the space of symplectic isotopies. We use it to define the group of strong symplectic homeomorphisms, which generalizes the group of hamiltonian homeomorphisms introduced by Oh and Mull…

Study shows nontrivial intersections of subgroups on homogeneous spaces.
We study the problem of rigidity of closures of totally geodesic plane immersions in geometrically finite manifolds containing rank cusps. We show that the key notion of K-thick recurrence of horocycles fails generically in this setting. This property was introduced in the recent work of McMullen, Mohammadi and Oh.…

This is a survey of the author's paper arXiv:1409.6908 and in-progress book. 'Kuranishi spaces' were introduced in the work of Fukaya, Oh, Ohta and Ono in symplectic geometry (see e.g. arXiv:1503.07631), as the geometric structure on moduli spaces of -holomorphic curves. We propose a new definition of Kuranishi spac…
Bavard proved a duality theorem between commutator length and quasimorphisms. Burago, Ivanov and Polterovich introduced the notion of a conjugation-invariant norm which is a generalization of commutator length. Entov and Polterovich proved that Oh-Schwarz spectral invariants are subset-controlled quasimorphisms which a…
Let be a Lagrangian submanifold in a symplectic vector space which is closed, oriented and spin. Using virtual fundamental chains of moduli spaces of nonconstant pseudo-holomorphic disks with boundaries on , one can define a Maurer-Cartan element of a Lie bracket operation in string topology (the loop bracket) d…
