We show that for every compact domain in a Euclidean space with d.c. This was known in dimensions two and three and was open in higher dimensions. In fact, we sh…

We investigate Legendrian graphs in (R3,ξstd)(\R^3, ξ_{std}). We extend the classical invariants, Thurston-Bennequin number and rotation number to Legendrian graphs. We prove that a graph can be Legendrian realized with all its cycles Legendrian unknots with tb=1tb=-1 and rot=0rot=0 if and only if it does not contain K4K_4 as a mi…

Properties of general Legendrian cycles TT acting in Rd×Sd1{\mathbb R}^d\times S^{d-1} are studied. In particular, we give short proofs for certain uniqueness theorems with respect to the projections on the first and second component of such currents: In general, TT is determined by its restriction to the Gauss curvature…

In this article we give necessary and sufficient conditions for two triples of integers to be realized as the Thurston-Bennequin number and the rotation number of a Legendrian theta-graph with all cycles unknotted. We show that these invariants are not enough to determine the Legendrian class of a topologically planar …

We define a new algebraic structure called Legendrian racks or racks with Legendrian structure, motivated by the front-projection Reidemeister moves for Legendrian knots. We provide examples of Legendrian racks and use these algebraic structures to define invariants of Legendrian knots with explicit computational examp…

An elementary stabilization of a Legendrian link LL in the spherical cotangent bundle STMST^*M of a surface MM is a surgery that results in attaching a handle to MM along two discs away from the image in MM of the projection of the link LL. A virtual Legendrian isotopy is a composition of stabilizations, destabiliz…

The Legendrian product of two Legendrian knots, as defined by Lambert-Cole, is a Legendrian torus. We show that this Legendrian torus is a twist spun whenever one of the Legendrian knot components is sufficiently large. We then study examples of Legendrian products which are not Legendrian isotopic to twist spuns. In o…

The Gronwall conjecture states that a planar 3-web of foliations which admits more than one distinct linearizations is locally equivalent to an algebraic web.
