Study on singularities of Lagrangian immersions with applications in Floer theory.
Modified proof constructs holomorphic quilts on closed surfaces.
Paper proves equivalence of two Floer theories using pearly trees and Hamiltonian flows.
Around 1988, Floer introduced two important theories: instanton Floer homology as invariants of 3-manifolds and Lagrangian Floer homology as invariants of pairs of Lagrangians in symplectic manifolds. Soon after that, Atiyah conjectured that the two theories should be related to each other and Lagrangian Floer homology…
Using quilted Floer cohomology and relative quilt invariants, we define a composition functor for categories of Lagrangian correspondences in monotone and exact symplectic Floer theory. We show that this functor agrees with geometric composition in the case that the composition is smooth and embedded. As a consequence …

Develops Floer theory for 3-manifold covers using equivariant structures.
In this paper, Floer homology for Lagrangian submanifolds in an open symplectic manifold given as the complement of a smooth divisor is discussed. The main new feature of this construction is that we do not make any assumption on positivity or negativity of the divisor. To achieve this goal, we use a compactification o…
Researchers develop methods to construct Lagrangian cobordisms between Legendrian knots.
This is a mixture of survey article and research anouncement. We discuss Instanton Floer homology for 3 manifolds with boundary. We also discuss a categorification of the Lagrangian Floer theory using the unobstructed immersed Lagrangian correspondence as a morphism in the category of symplectic manifolds. During the y…
New method for Lagrangian Floer homology groups using flow trees.
We give a construction of the Floer homology of the pair of {\it non-compact} Lagrangian submanifolds, which satisfies natural continuity property under the Hamiltonian isotopy which moves the infinity but leaves the intersection set of the pair compact. This construction uses the concept of Lagrangian cobordism and ce…
Floer homology connects to quiver Hecke algebras in Coulomb branches.
We generalize Lagrangian Floer cohomology to sequences of Lagrangian correspondences. For sequences related by the geometric composition of Lagrangian correspondences we establish an isomorphism of the Floer cohomologies. We give applications to calculations of Floer cohomology, displaceability of Lagrangian correspond…
Research resolves sign conventions in Floer theory for Morse-Bott case.
Since its inception, Floer homology has been an important tool in low-dimensional topology. Floer theoretic invariants of -manifolds tend to be either gauge theoretic or symplecto-geometric in nature, and there is a general philosophy that each gauge theoretic Floer homology should have a corresponding symplectic Fl…
New knot homology theory from symplectic geometry.
Generalizes Floer homotopy via Morse-Bott theory.
Proves a conjecture about Lagrangian intersections using new theory.
We construct an algebraic version of Lagrangian Floer homology for immersed curves inside the pillowcase. We first associate to the pillowcase an algebra A. Then to an immersed curve L inside the pillowcase we associate an A infinity module M(L) over A. Then we prove that Lagrangian Floer homology HF(L,L') is isomorphi…
In this paper, we study the Seiberg-Witten equations on the product R x Y, where Y is a compact 3-manifold with boundary. Following the approach of Salamon and Wehrheim in the instanton case, we impose Lagrangian boundary conditions for the Seiberg- Witten equations. The resulting equations we obtain constitute a nonli…
In this note, we study the SYZ mirror construction for a toric Calabi-Yau manifold using instanton corrections coming from Woodward's quasimap Floer theory instead of Fukaya-Oh-Ohta-Ono's Lagrangian Floer theory. We show that the resulting SYZ mirror coincides with the one written down via physical means (as expected).
Let (M,w) be a compact symplectic manifold, and L a compact, embedded Lagrangian submanifold in M. Fukaya, Oh, Ohta and Ono construct Lagrangian Floer cohomology for such M,L, yielding groups HF^*(L,b;Λ) for one Lagrangian or HF^*((L,b),(L',b');Λ) for two, where b,b' are choices of bounding cochains, and exist if and o…
The paper proves compactness for holomorphic curves with boundary on nearby Lagrangians.
The paper develops spectral networks in symplectic topology and their relation to Lagrangian fillings.
We introduce a homology theory whose Euler characteristics counts ASD bundles over four dimensional co-associative submanifolds in (almost) G_2 manifolds. As a TQFT, in relative situations, we have the Fukaya-Floer category of Lagrangians intersection in the moduli space of special Lagrangian submanifolds in CY threefo…
Defines log Floer cohomology for symplectic surfaces with a degenerate part.
We define an elementary relatively graded Lagrangian-Floer chain complex for restricted immersions of compact 1-manifolds into the pillowcase, and apply it to the intersection diagram obtained by taking traceless character varieties of 2-tangle decompositions of knots. Calculations for torus knots…
Link Floer homology is an invariant for links defined using a suitable version of Lagrangian Floer homology. In an earlier paper, this invariant was given a combinatorial description with mod 2 coefficients. In the present paper, we give a self-contained presentation of the basic properties of link Floer homology, incl…
In this paper we use Floer theory to study topological restrictions on Lagrangian embeddings in closed symplectic manifolds. One of the phenomena arising from our results is ``homological rigidity'' of Lagrangian submanifolds. Namely, in certain symplectic manifolds, conditions on low dimensional topological invariants…
In this paper the author discuss the relation between Lagrangian Floer homology and Gauge-theory (Donaldson theory) Floer homology. It can be regarded as a version of Atiyah-Floer type conjecture in the case of -bundle with non-trivial second Stiefel-Whitney class. This is a first of a series of papers, where we…
Develops a new method for equivariant Lagrangian Floer homology using symplectic homotopy quotients.
The present paper is mainly a survey of our work arXiv:0708.4221 and arXiv:0808.2440 but it also contains the announcement of some new results. Its main purpose is to present an accessible introduction to a technique allowing efficient calculations in Lagrangian Floer theory.

New augmentations of twist knots found that can't be filled.
We define an integer graded symplectic Floer cohomology and a Fintushel-Stern type spectral sequence which are new invariants for monotone Lagrangian sub-manifolds and exact isotopes. The Z-graded symplectic Floer cohomology is an integral lifting of the usual Z_Sigma(L)-graded Floer-Oh cohomology. We prove the Kunneth…
We recently defined an invariant of contact manifolds with convex boundary in Kronheimer and Mrowka's sutured monopole Floer homology theory. Here, we prove that there is an isomorphism between sutured monopole Floer homology and sutured Heegaard Floer homology which identifies our invariant with the contact class defi…
We define an integer graded symplectic Floer cohomology and a spectral sequence which are new invariants for monotone Lagrangian sub-manifolds and exact isotopies. Such an integer graded Floer cohomology is an integral lifting of the usual Floer-Oh cohomology with $Z_{\Si (L)}$ grading. As one of applications of the sp…
In the first part of the present series of papers, we studied the moduli spaces of holomorphic discs and strips into an open symplectic manifold, isomorphic to the complement of a smooth divisor in a closed symplectic manifold. In particular, we introduced a compactification of this moduli space, which is called the RG…
