Classifies surfaces with T-singularities and ample canonical class.
Uniformly K-stable toric varieties are asymptotically Chow stable if their Futaki-Ono invariant vanishes.
We prove that K-polystable degenerations of Q-Fano varieties are unique. Furthermore, we show that the moduli stack of K-stable Q-Fano varieties is separated. Together with [Jia17,BL18], the latter result yields a separated Deligne-Mumford stack parametrizing all uniformly K-stable Q-Fano varieties of fixed dimension a…
Given a one parameter flat family of polarized algebraic varieties, we show that any K-stable limit is unique. In particular, moduli spaces of K-stable polarized varieties are automatically Hausdorff when they exist. We also give a characterization of K-stable limits in terms of the CM line bundle, and some application…

Study Kähler-Einstein potentials on stable varieties near singularities
Shows CM line bundles are ample on K-stable varieties.
We algebraically prove K-stability of polarized Calabi-Yau varieties and canonically polarized varieties with mild singularities. In particular, the} "stable varieties" introduced by Kollar-Shepherd-Barron and Alexeev, which form compact moduli space, are proven to be K-stable although it is well known that they are \t…
The article proves a complex analytic inequality for stable Q-sheaves on Kähler varieties.
Projective varieties remain stable under close polarizations, extending to Kähler cones.
Classifies K-stable Fano varieties and finds new examples.
Assume that a projective variety together with a polarization is uniformly K-stable. If the polarization is canonical or anti-canonical, then the projective variety is uniformly K-stable with respects to any polarization sufficiently close to the original polarization.
Characterizes stable sheaves for equality in orbifold BG inequality.
The Chow-Mumford (CM) line bundle is a functorial line bundle on the base of any family of klt Fano varieties. It is conjectured that it yields a polarization on the moduli space of K-poly-stable klt Fano varieties. Proving ampleness of the CM line bundle boils down to showing semi-positivity/positivity statements abou…
The notion of Berman-Gibbs stability was originally introduced by Robert Berman for -Fano varieties . We show that the pair is K-stable (resp. K-semistable) provided that is Berman-Gibbs stable (resp. semistable).
The paper studies mapping class group actions on character varieties of surfaces.
Constructs projective moduli spaces for Calabi-Yau pairs.
We show that the moduli space of genus zero stable maps is a real projective variety if the target space is a smooth convex real projective variety. We show that evaluation maps, forgetful maps are real morphisms. We analyze the real part of the moduli space.
New representations for surface groups in PU(2,1) are stable and larger than convex cocompact ones.
The paper proves a Donaldson-Uhlenbeck-Yau theorem for normal varieties and semistable bundles.
Extremal metrics exist if uniformly -stable over models.
We prove a product formula for -invariant and as an application, we show that product of K-(semi, poly)stable Fano varieties is also K-(semi, poly)stable.
Let be a canonically polarized variety, i.e. a complex projective variety such that its canonical class defines an ample $\Q-$line bundle, and satisfying the conditions and . Our main result says that admits a Kähler-Einstein metric iff has semi-log canonical singularities i.e. iff is…
The main goal of this paper is to prove the polystability of the logarithmic tangent sheaf of a log canonical pair whose canonical bundle is ample, generalizing in a significant way a theorem of Enoki. We apply this result and the techniques involved in its proof to get a version of t…
Using gauge theory for Spin(7)-manifolds of dimension 8, we develop a procedure, called Spin-rotation, which transforms a (stable) holomorphic structure on a vector bundle over a complex torus of dimension 4 into a new holomorphic structure over a different complex torus. We show non-trivial examples of this procedure …
We prove that every birationally superrigid Fano variety whose alpha invariant is greater than (resp. no smaller than) is K-stable (resp. K-semistable). We also prove that the alpha invariant of a birationally superrigid Fano variety of dimension is at least (under mild assumptions) an…
We establish the correspondence between tame harmonic bundles and -stable parabolic Higgs bundles with trivial characteristic numbers. We also show the Bogomolov-Gieseker type inequality for -stable parabolic Higgs bundles. Then we show that any local system on a smooth quasi projective variety can be deforme…
Existence of metrics on non-Kähler varieties, generalizing previous work.
We describe the moduli space of stable rank 2 parabolic bundles over an elliptic curve with 3 marked points.
Let M be a hyperbolizable, nontrivial compression body without toroidal boundary components. In this paper, we characterize which discrete and faithful representations of the fundamental group of M into PSL(2,C) are separable-stable. The set of separable-stable representations forms a domain of discontinuity for the ac…
Toric hyperk{ä}hler manifolds are quaternion analog of toric varieties. Bielawski pointed out that they can be glued by cotangent bundles of toric varieties. Following his idea, viewing both toric varieties and toric hyperk{ä}her manifolds as GIT quotients, we first establish geometrical criteria for the semi-stable po…
Homological stability fails for Cremona groups, rational varieties, and function fields.
Investigates admissible metrics on compact Kähler varieties and their stability.
Researchers describe the dual of cohomology generators for SU(2) character varieties of surfaces.
We provide a sufficient condition for polarisations of Fano varieties to be K-stable in terms of Tian's alpha invariant, which uses the log canonical threshold to measure singularities of divisors in the linear system associated to the polarisation. This generalises a result of Odaka-Sano in the anti-canonically polari…
Study connections on Seifert-fibered spaces using gauge theory.
Let G be a connected complex semi-simple group, B a Borel subgroup of G, and T a maximal torus in B. We construct a class of smooth T-stable subvarieties inside the flag variety G/B, each of which is an embedding of a product of projective lines.
Tian's criterion for K-stability states that a Fano variety of dimension whose alpha invariant is greater than is K-stable. We show that this criterion is sharp by constructing singular Fano varieties with alpha invariants that are not K-polystable for sufficiently large . We also…
In this paper, we prove that the tangent bundle of the moduli space $\cSU_C(r,d)$ of stable bundles of rank and of fixed determinant of degree (such that ), on a smooth projective curve is always stable, in the sense of Mumford-Takemoto. This verifies a well-known conjecture, and is related to a …
We prove the following result: if a -Fano variety is uniformly K-stable, then it admits a Kähler-Einstein metric. We achieve this by modifying Berman-Boucksom-Jonsson's strategy with appropriate perturbative arguments and non-Archimedean estimates. The idea of using the perturbation is motivated by our prev…
In this paper, we consider the CM line bundle on the K-moduli space, i.e., the moduli space parametrizing K-polystable Fano varieties. We prove it is ample on any proper subspace parametrizing reduced uniformly K-stable Fano varieties which conjecturally should be the entire moduli space. As a corollary, we prove that …

Paper defines new stability and metrics for complex spaces.
We study the (relative) SL(2,C) character varieties of the three-holed projective plane and the action of the mapping class group on them. We describe a domain of discontinuity for this action, which strictly contains the set of primitive stable representations defined by Minsky, and also the set of convex-cocompact ch…
We give a purely algebro-geometric proof that if the alpha-invariant of a Q-Fano variety X is greater than dim X/(dim X+1), then (X,O(-K_X)) is K-stable. The key of our proof is a relation among the Seshadri constants, the alpha-invariant and K-stability. It also gives applications concerning the automorphism group.
