We give the twistor description of harmonic maps of the Riemann sphere into the Hilbert-Schmidt Grassmannian. The study of such maps is motivated by the harmonic spheres conjecture formulated in the beginning of this paper.

Explains historical connections between vector bundle splitting and Riemann-Hilbert problems.
We show that the spheres in Hilbert geometry have the same volume growth entropy as those in the Lobachevsky space. We give the asymptotic estimates for the ratio of the volume of metric ball to the area of the metric sphere in Hilbert geometry. Derived estimates agree with the well-known fact in the Lobachevsky space
We study the properly discontinuous and isometric actions on the unit sphere of infinite dimensional Hilbert spaces and we get some new examples of Hilbert manifold with costant positive sectional curvature. We prove some necessary conditions for a group to act isometrically and properly discontinuously and in the case…

Formulates Hilbert reciprocity law on 3-manifolds.
The Funk--Minkowski transform associates a function on the sphere with its mean values (integrals) along all great circles of the sphere. Thepresented analytical inversion formula reconstruct the unknown function completely if two Funk--Minkowski transforms, and ${…
Asymptotic results for weighted floating bodies are established and used to obtain new proofs for the existence of floating areas on the sphere and in hyperbolic space and to establish the existence of floating areas in Hilbert geometries. Results on weighted best and random approximation and the new approach to floati…
The purpose of this paper is to give a simpler proof to the problem of controllability of a Hilbert snake \cite{PeSa}. Using the action of the Möbius group of the unit sphere on the configuration space, in the context of a separable Hilbert space. We give a generalization of the Theorem of accessibility contained in \c…

We show that using the family of adapted Kähler polarizations of the phase space of a compact, simply connected, Riemannian symmetric space of rank-1, the obtained field of quantum Hilbert spaces produced by geometric quantization including the half-form correction is flat if is the 3-dimensional sphere …
The Hardy space H^2(R) for the upper half plane together with a unimodular function group representation u(λ) = \exp(i(λ_1ψ_1 + ... + λ_nψ_n)) for λin R^n, gives rise to a manifold M of orthogonal projections for the subspaces u(λ)H^2(R) of L^2(R). For classes of admissible functions ψ_i the strong operator topology cl…
The double tetrahedron is the triangulation of the three-sphere gotten by gluing together two congruent tetrahedra along their boundaries. As a piecewise flat manifold, its geometry is determined by its six edge lengths, giving a notion of a metric on the double tetrahedron. We study notions of Einstein metrics, consta…
The study characterizes kernel spaces on hyperspheres, impacting cubature algorithms.
We review some basic concepts related to convex real projective structures from the differential geometry point of view. We start by recalling a Riemannian metric which originates in the study of affine spheres using the Blaschke connection (work of Calabi and of Cheng-Yau) mentioning its relation with the Hilbert metr…
Timelike geometry of spherical simplices is shown to be isometric to vector spaces.
We give a complete description of finite braid group orbits in Aff(C)-character varieties of the punctured Riemann sphere. This is performed thanks to a coalescence procedure and to the theory of finite complex reflection groups. We then derive consequences in the theory of differential equations. These concern algebra…
I classify the Finsler structures on the 2-sphere that have constant Finsler-Gauss curvature and whose geodesics are the great circles. Modulo diffeomorphism, there is a 2-parameter family of such Finsler structures, only one of which is homogeneous or symmetric, namely the Riemannian one. I discuss the history of the …
New method interpolates training data and is consistent for various data distributions.
We study existence and non-existence of constant scalar curvature metrics conformal and arbitrarily close to homogeneous metrics on spheres, using variational techniques. This describes all critical points of the Hilbert-Einstein functional on such conformal classes, near homogeneous metrics. Both bifurcation and local…
Deep neural kernels and Laplace kernel have equivalent RKHS on spheres.
The intersection of a complex plane curve with a small three-sphere surrounding one of its singularities is a non-trivial link. The refined punctual Hilbert schemes of the singularity parameterize subschemes supported at the singular point of fixed length and whose defining ideals have a fixed number of generators. We …
The Riemann sphere of a C*-algebra is a geometric structure derived from a specific projector.
This paper solves Hilbert's fourth problem for constant curvature metrics.
The goal of this paper is to introduce and study analogues of the Euclidean Funk and Hilbert metrics on open convex subsets of hyperbolic or spherical spaces. At least at a formal level, there are striking similarities among the three cases: Euclidean, spherical and hyperbolic. We start by defining non-Euclidean an…

The paper explores isometric models and Busemann functions for Funk and Hilbert discs.
Let H denote the standard one-point completion of a real Hilbert space. Given any non-trivial proper sub-set U of H one may define the so-called `Apollonian' metric d_U on U. When U \subset V \subset H are nested proper subsets we show that their associated Apollonian metrics satisfy the following uniform contraction p…
Study analyzes learnability of RKHS under L∞ norm for kernel methods.
We use Bonahon-Wong's trace map to study character varieties of the once-punctured torus and of the 4-punctured sphere. We clarify a relationship with cluster algebra associated with ideal triangulations of surfaces, and we show that the Goldman Poisson algebra of loops on surfaces is recovered from the Poisson structu…
We present eigenvalue decay estimates of integral operators associated with compositional dot-product kernels. The estimates improve on previous ones established for power series kernels on spheres. This allows us to obtain the volumes of balls in the corresponding reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces. We discuss the cons…
For a given Hilbert space , consider the space of self-adjoint projections . In this paper we study the differentiable structure of a canonical sphere bundle over given by $$ \mathcal R=\{\, (P,f)\in \mathcal P(\mathcal H)\times \mathcal H \, : \, Pf=f , \, \…
In this paper by using Teichmuller theory of a sphere with four holes/orbifold points, we obtain a system of flat coordinates on the general affine cubic surface having a D_4 singularity at the origin. We show that the Goldman bracket on the geodesic functions on the four-holed/orbifold sphere coincides with the Etingo…
In the paper "Direct Images, Fields of Hilbert Spaces, and Geometric Quantization", Lempert and Szőke proved that any flat analytic Hilbert field will induce a hermitian Hilbert bundle and gave an example of a flat Hilbert field that does not induce any Hilbert bundle. In this paper, we will provide an example of an an…

We study steady-state magnetic fields in the geometric setting of positive curvature on subdomains of the three-dimensional sphere. By generalizing the Biot-Savart law to an integral operator BS acting on all vector fields, we show that electrodynamics in such a setting behaves rather similarly to Euclidean electrodyna…
The Hilbert map's image is discussed, showing when it's surjective.
Using intersection theory in the context of Hilbert manifolds and geometric homology we show how to recover the main operations of string topology built by M. Chas and D. Sullivan. We also study and build an action of the homology of reduced Sullivan's chord diagrams on the singular homology of free loop spaces, extend…
