We study algebro-geometric consequences of the quantised extremal Kähler metrics, introduced in the previous work of the author. We prove that the existence of quantised extremal metrics implies weak relative Chow polystability. As a consequence, we obtain asymptotic weak relative Chow polystability and KK-semistabili…

We study the Futaki invariant and the Mabuchi K-energy of a Kähler manifold MM using the Deligne pairing technique developed in earlier papers. We first prove a rather simple characterization of the Futaki character: The Futaki character on a Q-Fano variety is the eigenvalue of the action of Aut(M)Aut(M) on Chow(M)Chow(M), the…

In this paper we study the relative Chow and KK-stability of toric manifolds in the toric sense. First, we give a criterion for relative KK-stability and instability of toric Fano manifolds in the toric sense. The reduction of relative Chow stability on toric manifolds will be investigated using the Hibert-Mumford cr…

This work is a short, self-contained introduction to subriemannian geometry with special emphasis on Chow's Theorem. As an application, a regularity result for the Poincaré Lemma is presented. At the beginning, the definitions of a subriemannian geometry, horizontal vector fields and horizontal curves are given. Then t…

Let ΔRnΔ\subset \mathbb{R}^n be an nn-dimensional integral Delzant polytope. It is well-known that there exist the nn-dimensional compact toric manifold XΔX_Δ and the very ample (C×)n(\mathbb{C}^\times)^n-equivariant line bundle LΔL_Δ on XΔX_Δ associated with ΔΔ. In the present paper, we give a necessary and sufficient …

Uniformly K-stable toric varieties are asymptotically Chow stable if their Futaki-Ono invariant vanishes.

problem Determining asymptotic Chow stability of uniformly K-stable toric varieties.
method Detailed study of triangulations of moment polytope neighborhoods and analysis of Futaki-Ono invariant.
result Every uniformly K-stable polarized smooth toric variety with vanishing Futaki-Ono invariant is asymptotically Chow polystable.

Chow stability is one notion of Mumford's Geometric Invariant Theory for studying the moduli space of polarized varieties. Kapranov, Sturmfels and Zelevinsky detected that Chow stability of polarized toric varieties is determined by its inherent {\it secondary polytope}, which is a polytope whose vertices correspond to…

This paper studies the canonical Chow quotient of a smooth projective variety by a reductive algebraic group. The main purpose is to give some topological interpretations and characterization of Chow quotient which have the advantage to be more intuitive and geometric. This is to be done over the field of complex numbe…

Let MM be a close complex manifold and TMTM its holomorphic tangent bundle. We prove that if the global holomorphic sections of tangent bundle generate each fibre, then MM is a complex homogeneous manifold. Our proof depends on the complex version of Chow-Rashevskii theorem in Carnot-Caratheodory spaces.

In this paper, we define and study sub-Riemannian structures on Banach manifolds. We obtain extensions of the Chow-Rashevski theorem for exact controllability, and give conditions for the existence of a Hamiltonian geodesic flow despite the lack of a Pontryagin Maximum Principle in the infinite dimensional setting.

In the previous article (\cite{S}), we proved that slope stability of a holomorphic vector bundle EE over a polarized manifold (X,L)(X,L) implies Chow stability of (PE,OPE(1)πLk)(\mathbb{P}E^*,\mathcal{O}_{\mathbb{P}E^*}(1)\otimes π^* L^k) for k0k \gg 0 if the base manifold has no nontrivial holomorphic vector field and admits a con…

method Using non-Archimedean pluripotential theory and idealistic assumptions, the paper provides a route to show that maximal K-destabilizers are quantized by maximal Chow-destabilizers.

Following the unified approach of A. Kriegl and P.W. Michor (1997) for a treatment of global analysis on a class of locally convex spaces known as convenient, we give a generalization of Rashevsky-Chow's theorem for control systems in regular connected manifolds modelled on convenient (infinite-dimensional) locally con…

For a polarized algebraic manifold (X,L)(X,L), let TT be an algebraic torus in the group of all holomorphic automorphisms of XX. Then strong relative K-stability will be shown to imply asymptotic relative Chow-stability. In particular, by taking TT to be trivial, we see that asymptotic Chow-stability follows from stron…

The logarithmic Chow semistability is a notion of Geometric Invariant Theory for the pair consists of varieties and its divisors.
